Albedo is a succubus and is one of the main characters in Overlord and is one of the three NPCs created by Tabula Smaragdina.

About Albedo: Background

Albedo is a very loyal, intelligent, and beautiful character created by Tabula Smaragdina. She was programmed to prefer frequent sexual activity; however, Momonga later changed her settings. She is the Guardian Overseer of Nazarick and must know where every Floor Guardian is. Her position as the Guardian Overseer gives her the highest-ranking position in the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick.

Her immense loyalty is seen in her attitude towards Ainz. Towards Ainz, Albedo almost shows obsessive tendencies and is fascinated with Ainz. Her attitude towards Ainz results from being programmed to love him. Her infatuation with Ainz leads to her losing her temper quickly if Ainz is harmed or attacked. She becomes emotional when Ainz is in danger or if he signs of abandoning Albedo.

About Albedo: Abilities

Albedo is known for her high defensive powers. She is protected by her armor, which is almost impenetrable. One of her unique abilities is to transfer any damages she suffers to her armor. This is how she can fight against a Super-Tier Magic spell and still be uninjured. However, her unique ability has a limit and can only be used three times a day. Once she uses this ability to her limit, Albedo will lose her defense, and her combat skill will fall. While her combat skill may fall, she still possesses a high level of physical abilities. Throughout the series, she was able to destroy an entire fortress quickly and was able to send Azuth Aindra flying with one punch.

One of Albedo's unique skills is also her intelligence. Her intelligence constantly aids her as the overseer of the Guardians. It also allows her to be in charge of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Albedo has also set up her administration system and defense system throughout Nazarick, so she is notified of any intruders and can create a strategy to help capture these intruders.

Albedo has four primary weapons of choice. The 3F is a melee that will alter its appearance when needed. A Ginnungagap is an item that can create massive devastation to an area. The Hermes Trismegistus is a Divine Item that has three layers of armor and can repel physical damage. Albedo also uses the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown which helps the user teleport to different areas of the Nazarick. She is the second NPC to receive this ring.

Albedo holds a strong relationship with Ainz Ooal Gown and Tabula Smaragdina. The two affect her life significantly and in particular, Ainz has a lot of power in Albedo's life.

Ainz Ooal Gown

Before being transported to Nazarick, Ainz Ooal Gown altered Albedo's settings so that she would fall in love with him. Due to this edit in her personality. It has made Albedo obsessed with Ainz. She is completely infatuated with Ainz and becomes emotional depending on how Ainz treats her. She also worries that Ainz will one day abandon her. Despite Tabula being her creator, Albedo considers herself Ainz's follower and will do anything for Ainz.

Tabula Smaragdina

Tabula is the creator of Albedo and her sisters. Therefore, he placed immense care into Albedo's character design and setting. Albedo greatly respects Tabula; however, still wants Ainz to be the sole ruler of the Great Tomb of Nazarick. This immense loyalty is due to Ainz altering Albedo's personality.

Nigredo

The older sister of Albedo, Nigredo and Albedo were both created by Tabula Smaragdina. The two have a sisterly relationship. However, Albedo does not truly trust Nigredo as they two hold differing opinions. Nigredo has defied Ainz's will, leading to Albedo's distrust in Nigredo. Albedo also believes that their differing views could lead them to become enemies. The two are also unable to agree on their younger sister Rubedo. Nigredo despises Rubedo, while Albedo sees Rubedo as her cute, adorable younger sibling.
