My Hero Academia 1 - Nendoroid

My Hero Academia is a popular shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi that began serialization with Weekly Shōnen Jump in July 2014 and is currently ongoing, with over 250 chapters published as of January 2020.

The series is about a boy named Izuku Midoriya, who dreams of being a superhero but was born without any superpowers. After risking his life to save his childhood bully he is noticed by All Might, the strongest superhero in Japan, who decides to give Midoriya his powers and help him enter a high school for superheroes.

The series received an anime adaptation by Bones in April 2016, which is currently airing its fourth season and has over 75 episodes. Bones has also released two My Hero Academia animated films, the first being My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, which was released in August 2018, and My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, which was released in December 2019. It is an extremely popular series and the release of the My Hero Academia anime resulted in a high demand for merchandise such as figures, t-shirts, keychains, and many more.

Izuku Midoriya is the protagonist of the My Hero Academia series. When he was young he adored Heroes and wished to be one just like his favorite hero All Might. However, when he underwent tests he learned that he didn’t have a quirk meaning it would be extremely difficult for him to become a Hero. Izuku grew up to be a timid and reserved person as he was ashamed he didn’t have a quirk as many of his classmates looked down on him. While he became quiet since he realized he didn’t have a quirk, it didn't change his personality from the core. He is still very friendly and tries his hardest to protect everyone around him. Izuku's quirk is One For All, which he inherited from All Might. His quirk gives him immense physical strength but damages him depending on how much power he uses.

#705 Katsuki Bakugo: Hero's Edition

Katsuki Bakugo is Izuku's rival. When he was young Katsuki would often bully Izuku for not having a quirk and always damper any hopes he had of trying to become a Hero. He is aggressive and rude to most people, leading people to believe he is closer to a villain than a hero, though he slowly begins to become a more sensible person during his time at U.A. High School. When he was young, Katsuki was very strong, however he is just like a frog in a pond and doesn’t realize there are many stronger people out in the world. His arrogant attitude started to soften after he experienced many defeats and even lost to Izuku who he used to bully. Katsuki's quirk is Explosion, which allows him to create explosions from his palms.

#1112 Shoto Todoroki: Hero's Edition

Shoto Todoroki is a friend of Izuku and a student of U.A. High School's Class 1-A. He has a very cold personality, often acting as though he has no emotion. This aloof personality came from his abusive and complicated family situation as his father is the number two hero after All Might and became obsessed with becoming stronger to gain the number one position. He prefers to act alone, believing that he can perform well without any assistance. Shoto's quirk is Half-Cold Half-Hot, which allows him to create and manipulate fire from the left side of his body, and ice from the right side.
