Shinobu Kocho Demon Slayer - Nendoroid

Released on the 6th of April, 2019 the hit anime Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) gathered a lot of attention on its release and continued to gain popularity with a hit movie. In the series, a demon slayer is an individual that fights against demons that roam about at night killing and eating innocent humans. The demon slayer corps has many strong characters that support the organization while also gathering many fans. Ranked 6th on the first popularity poll is one of the Pillars who support the demon slayer corps is Shinobu Kocho. She is a very popular character due to her kind yet wicked personality that shows off the strength of women. As the Demon Slayer series is greatly popular there have been many products released especially of the Pillars, who are the strongest in the demon slayer corps. Shinobu, being one of the Pillars has many products released of her and one of the popular products is the Shinobu Nendoroid “Nendoroid Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Shinobu Kocho”.

Nendoroid Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Shinobu Kocho

This Nendoroid allows fans to enjoy the usually beautiful and cool Shinobu in a cute form. She has her black hair tied up with a purple butterfly accessory and the tips of her hair are purple which frames her face. She wears the demon slayer corps uniform that consists of a black top and pants that resemble a gakuran. On top of her uniform, she wears a white haori that has the pattern of a butterfly's wings with the colors light purple and blue. The haori can be changed with a different haori that has been sculpted to give off her butterfly look and resembles a butterfly's wings when it is flying in the air. Shinobu also comes with various optional parts to enjoy a wide variety of poses. Her nichirin blade is attached to the side of her belt and can be removed to show her unique blade that can only pierce demons. There is also an extra effect feature that makes it seem like she is swinging her blade so fast or that she is spraying out her wisteria poison. Another optional part is an injection that she can hold in her hand to show the experiments she does as well as the medicine she conducts. The Shinobu Nendoroid also comes with three different facial expressions. One expression is her standard face where she is smiling kindly with her purple eyes open. Another face shows Shinobu smiling with her eyes closed and the last expression shows Shinobu with a serious and cool face. Her eyes are open and her mouth is opened slightly to show her mischievous smile as though she was planning something someone wouldn't like.

About Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu is one of the nine Pillars in the demon slayer corps signifying her strength. She is insecure about her strength as she cannot decapitate a demon’s head or is as strong as her fellow Pillars. Instead, Shinobu uses her knowledge and intelligence to make a poison that can kill a demon. She doesn’t easily show her emotions and tries to always keep a smile on her face despite the anger she feels towards demons and how fragile their everyday life of happiness can be.

About Shinobu Kocho: Background

Shinobu’s parents were killed by demons so she joined the demon slayer corps with her older sister so other people wouldn’t suffer the same fate as them. Shinobu loved her sister dearly and was someone who easily showed her emotions but when a demon killed her sister she began to try to act like her older sister. She started to smile more and try to seem kind and gentle just like how her older sister was.

About Shinobu Kocho: Abilities

Shinobu is one of the nine Pillars in the demon slayer organization and has mastered the insect breathing technique. Although her skill with the sword or her strength may not be as strong as her fellow Pillar members, however, her piercing technique is the best. Shinobu is also very smart and is able to use her medical knowledge to heal her fellow corps members as well as develop a poison that can kill demons.

Shinobu often interacts with Tanjiro as he is constantly getting hurt and requires the aid of Shinobu to help him and his friends. Shinobu also tends to tease fellow Pillar, Giyuu Tomioka a lot and they both seem to fight like cats and dogs.

Tanjiro Kamado

Shinobu acts very kindly and gently to Tanjiro Kamado but despite her smile, Tanjiro can feel the anger she holds in her heart allowing him to know her a bit more. She also acts as another mentor to Tanjiro teaching her the next steps he should learn in order to get stronger.

Giyuu Tomioka

Shinobu and Giyuu Tomioka are seen on the same mission together and although they respect each other’s strength and trust the other to do their work properly their personalities don’t seem to go well together. They are often bickering and trying to one-up the other but know how to keep a professional relationship.
