About Elise: Background

Elise is the youngest of the Nohrian siblings and is very innocent. While she is child-like, do not let it fool you, she is calm in stressful situations and is able to adapt quickly. As a child, Elise was hurt by her mother's lack of affection. She received almost no love from her birth parents, Garon and his mistress. Her birth mother birthed Elise as a means to gain favors with Garon. Despite Elise being there, Elise also recalls her mother asking for Garon in her final moments. However, her nanny Cassita showered her with love forming a close bond.

Despite her harsh upbringing, she is innocent, child-like, and very kind-hearted. She is loved by many people and returns these affections to everyone. She, in particular, adores Corrin, her adoptive sibling, and often helps Corrin out. Her kind-heartedness is also seen when she helps Cassita and collects and sells flowers to Cassita out, believing it will help spread happiness to others.

About Elise: Abilities

Elise has high levels of Magic, Speed, Luck, and Resistance. Her strong Magic allows her to be a great healer out of the units of the first generation and gives her the role of support. However, she does have a low HP and Defense, which means that she is very fragile in physical combat and often needs to be left out of action as much as possible.

Her skills include Lily’s Poise - where adjacent allies are dealt +1 damage boost and receive -3 damage on enemies. As the game progresses, she also learns the skill “Demoiselle,” which grants her male allies a two damage reduction. She then later learns the skill “Inspiration,” which is the same as “Demoiselle” but also includes females. As the game progresses, she can pick up other skills and is granted access by Effie, Azura, and other characters to different class sets. For example, Effie is able to give Elise access to the Knight class set, leading to General and Great Knight promotions.

Fire Emblem is known for its complex characters. The different characters keep the game exciting, and the interactions between them and the backstories make the games more enjoyable. Elise’s loving nature is most seen in her interactions with Corrin and Cassita.

Corrin

Corrin is Elise’s adoptive sibling, a member of the Nohr and Hoshido royalty, and is the central character in “Fire Emblem Fates.” Corrin was adopted into Elise’s family when she was younger, and she acknowledged her as one of her siblings and adored Corrin and has a close bond. Elise is seen trying to help Corrin out on multiple occasions; she accompanies Corrin to the throne room, protects Corrin, and allows them to escape when Xander attempts to kill them for treason. However, because she considers Corrin her family, we also see her attempts to bring Corrin back to her kingdom.

Cassita

Cassita is Elise’s nanny. She is a non-playable character in “Fire Emblem Fates.” Casita was the one to raise Elise as either of her birth parents did not raise Elise. Despite not being raised by her parents, Casita showers Elise with love, resulting in a bond similar to a mother and child. Elise’s passion for Cassita is also seen when she actively collects and sells flowers on behalf of Cassita to help support her and as a way to spread happiness.
