Bruce Wayne was born in Gotham City to his parents, Dr. Thomas and Martha Wayne. While he was still young, he witnessed the murder of his parents by a criminal. After seeing the murder of his parents, he vows to seek justice against all criminals in Gotham City. This leads to Bruce training himself physically and intellectually and creating the bat-inspired persona.

James Gordon
James Gordon is the Gotham City Police Commissioner and is one of Batman's trusted allies. Just like Batman, he is strongly committed to fighting crime in Gotham City and often calls on Batman’s help using the Bat-Signal. Throughout the series, it is often depicted that Gordon chooses to be ignorant of Batman’s identity to maintain the effectiveness of Batman’s presence in the city.
Catwoman
Catwoman, also known as Selina Kyle, is a jewel thief in the city of Gotham. She is one of Batman’s most significant girlfriends. Selina turns to thievery to survive the streets of Gotham. This leads to her perfecting her skills in cat burglary. As a result, she has evaded Batman’s capture attempts, leading to a complicated yet flirtatious relationship.
