Dagashi Kashi is a popular anime that was released on the 7th of January, 2016 about Japanese confectionaries. One of the main characters of the series is Hotaru Shidare who is a girl who loves Japanese sweets and wants more people to enjoy them. She is a very popular character due to her outgoing personality and nice figure. Nendoroid Dagashi Kashi Hotaru Shidare
Enjoy the Hotaru Nendoroid as she wears her typical outfit as seen in the series. Her short purple hair is decorated with a black headband with a black rose and ribbon attached to the side. She wears a white short-sleeved blouse with ruffles on the front with a red bow around her collar. Her skirt is black with suspenders on both sides of her breasts emphasizing their large size. She wears black tights and white shoes to finish her look. Hotaru comes with three different expressions. One is her normal face with a calm smile. Another expression shows Hotaru with a drooling face. Her eyes looked focused and she blushes with her mouth open and drool coming out from the side of her mouth recreating her reactions from the series. The last expression shows her acting excited and pumped up as though she was trying to convince the other characters of the wonders of Japanese sweets. Her eyebrows are slightly furrowed and her eyes are focused on one point. Her cheeks are slightly blushing with some sweat marks to show how much effort she was putting in. Her mouth is wide open with her teeth showing as though she was shouting loudly. The wide variety allows the fans to make the Nendoroid pose in many ways to bring her to life and recreate scenes from the series.

About Hotaru Shidare
Hotaru has a very bright personality and is quite stubborn. She is a young girl who is very obsessed with Japanese sweets and would continue to eat sweets even when she has an ulcer which gives her a lot of pain. She is very persistent in trying to make Kokonotsu Shikada, the main character, inherit their family candy store so she can make his father join her sweet-making company.

Hotaru is the daughter of a very successful candy company. From a young age, she loved candy, especially Japanese sweets called dagashi, and would travel around to many dagashi shops and eat the candies there. She is a very wealthy lady and her family built an estate for her in the rural area, her family also owns a private jet that Hotaru uses to travel around to visit dagashi shops.

Since Hotaru is the daughter of a candy developing company she has tasted many sweets allowing her to know what candy she is eating while blindfolded. She can also use her family’s influence and money to have buildings built for her very quickly.

Hotaru is the main heroine of the series and so she interacts with many of the characters. Some of the characters she mostly interacts with are Kokonotsu Shikada and Saya Endo. They all become good friends and are friendly towards each other even when Hotaru’s bizarre actions sometimes confuse them.
Kokonotsu Shikada
Kokonotsu is the main character of the series and his father owns a dagashi store. Hotaru wants to recruit his father but the only way to recruit him is if Kokonotsu agrees to take over the dagashi shop. However, Kokonotsu’s dream is to become a manga artist so he doesn’t want to take over the sweet store. Kokonotsu finds Hotaru cute and she frequently tries many different tactics to get Kokonotsu to agree to take over the dagashi store. Kokonotsu is able to not get caught in her traps and instead surprises Hotaru with his vast knowledge of dagashi. Although Kokonotsu is quite suited for running a dagashi shop his dream is to become a famous manga artist and so he persists in his dreams and refuses Hotaru’s advances.
Saya Endo
Saya is a childhood friend of Kokonotsu and she works at the cafe that her family owns. She is a very kind girl that is always ready to help out. She doesn't have much interest in dagashi candies however she does have a crush on Kokonotsu so she often hangs around him. Even though Saya doesn’t have any interest in Japanese candies she has extremely good luck when getting the winning candy, greatly surprising Hotaru. Since Hotaru loves dagashi so much she tries really hard to make Saya understand the greatness and teaches her the games that come with the sweets. Saya also has great skill and luck when playing the games however she still remains a bit uninterested which greatly saddens Hotaru.
