About Isabelle

Isabelle is a dog and is the twin sister of Digby. She is the secretary to the town mayor (the game player) and assists the player with the tasks they must carry out.

About Isabelle: Background

Isabelle is the twin sister of Digby, and the two grew up in a cardboard box. They two used to fight constantly but now are friendly to each other. She is a gentle, social, hard-working character who does not like confrontation. Her kind nature means she is always there to assist the mayor and, in the absence of the mayor, will often take on the workload. She considers the town her family and is eager to make the town a better place. She often encourages the player to do tasks and Public Work Projects to help create a better town.

About Isabelle: Abilities

Digby has mentioned that she holds multiple engineering degrees from nineteen different universities. Although Isabelle can sometimes seem like an airhead, she is brilliant and is the backbone of the smooth running of the town. In New Horizons, the snooty villagers have mentioned how intelligent Isabelle is, as well as the smug villagers mentioning that she is the brain behind the island’s running.

Tom Nook

Tom Nook is a raccoon that features throughout all of the games. Just like Isabelle, he helps the player to create a better town. He was initially the manager of the town shop. In New Leaf, he is interested in opening a Nook’s Homes while characters Timmy and Tommy run the town shop for him. This also meant that Isabelle became in charge of welcoming the new players. Before New Leaf, Tom provided most of the tutorial work to the player but was replaced by Isabelle. Along with Isabelle, Tom is also a well-known character from the Animal Crossing series.

Digby

Digby is the twin brother of Isabelle. He is in charge of the Happy Home Showcase in New Leaf, and you will find him standing at the Showcase’s entrance all day. A player is granted access to the Happy Home Showcase when talking to Digby. He gets along with his sister and has a patient and straightforward personality.
