Black Butler is a very popular series and the anime aired on the 2nd of October, 2008. It is about a young noble boy who is an orphan but can handle the tasks that are required of him as the head of his household. Ciel Phantomhive, the protagonist keeps a very talented demon butler by his side to help him with his revenge against the ones who ruined his family. Although he is very young he is smart and capable and knows how to use his subordinates well. Ciel, as the main character, has gained much popularity thanks to his cute looks despite his serious personality. His short blue hair has been crafted just like the series where it covers his right eye to hide his contract mark with his demon servant Sebastian Michaelis. The visible eye is clear and blue and looks straight ahead. His expression looks serious and dignified with his mouth in a straight line, not showing his true feelings. His costume has been crafted with cloth and designed with a victorian style which is the era the series takes place. His outfit consists of a dark blue coat with light blue accents and a matching bow. His white shirt peeks out from the neckline and only the collar is visible. He has a matching pair of dark blue shorts with light blue striped accents. His boots have heels so he can appear taller and they are colored black with dark blue accents to match the rest of his outfit. To finish off his costume there is also a matching blue hat with a blue bow tied around it. Ciel wears black gloves with two rings one is a gold ring and the other is a silver ring that shows that he is the head of the Phantomhive family. The eye patch covering his right is able to be removed to show the purple eye with the covenant showing his contract with the demon.

About Ciel Phantomhive
Ciel at a young age had to take over the duties of running the Phantomhive earldom. He grew up with a loving family but they were killed leaving only Ciel alive after much torture and suffering. He had received an education befitting of a young noble and is able to take care of his family business and grow it into a large and influential business.
About Ciel Phantomhive: Background
When Ciel was young his family was killed and he was kidnapped by demon worshippers who tried to sacrifice him to summon a demon. The demon answered the summonings and entered into a contract with Ciel and not his kidnappers. Ciel then together with his demon butler restored his family and entered onto the path of revenge as he tried to find out who attacked his family.

Ciel was brought up as a noble and has the proper manners and etiquette that is expected of him. He has high business skills which allowed him to develop his own toy company to be very successful. He has been trained and taught by his highly skilled demon butler regarding the high-class hobbies nobles have such as fencing, hunting, and playing the violin that he has learned to a high level.

Sebastian Michaelis
Ciel and Sebastian Michaelis have a master and servant relationship. Ciel relies on Sebastian a lot and trusts in the power the demon has to be able to fulfill the contract. Ciel doesn’t care about slipping to the dark side to be able to fulfill his revenge and Sebastian will always make sure to realize Ciel’s goals and accept his orders.
Lau
Lau is connected to Ciel through the underworld. The Phantomhive family is known as the Queen’s watchdog so any underworld activities have to go through the Phantomhive family otherwise they wouldn’t be able to operate and would be taken down by Ciel. Lau and Ciel trust each other enough to not betray or backstab the other as they can efficiently run a business if they work together.
