About Lucina

Lucina is the tritagonist among the three main protagonists of Fire Emblem: Awakening. The player must fight against her in Chapter 4: Two Falchions and she becomes playable at the end of Chapter 13: Of Sacred Blood. Here is some more information about Lucina.

Background

Lucina is the daughter of Chrom and the distant descendant of the great hero, Marth. She is gifted with the mark of Naga on her left eye, also known as the Brand of the Exalt. She had a special bond with her father, and after his death at the hands of Grima she takes up his Falchion to fight back. Unaware of who it was that killed her father, she set off to find her father’s murderer. After the death of her mother, Lucina must rely on her closest allies to get through the world on the edge of destruction. Lucina is serious and strong-willed, determined to reach her goal no matter the cost. She has a deep respect for her father, often trying to emulate both him and her ancestor, Marth. Lucina has a deep sense of justice but often fails to give herself credit for any of her accomplishments.

Special Abilities

Lucina is highly adept at swordplay. She has the Falchion at her side, which she inherited from her father at his death. Lucina moves quickly and fluidly, able to get close to her opponents to deal damage in a flash. She is great in close range combat, Falchion in hand, and ready to fight. She also has the ability to heal with her sword, as well as provide defense. That said, she lacks ranged abilities to allow her to attack from a distance.

Other Important Fire Emblem Characters

Lucina’s first appearance in the Fire Emblem series wasn’t until 2012, more than 20 years after the release of the first game. There are many other great characters for fans to enjoy in the series. Here are two other important Fire Emblem characters.

Corrin cares deeply for those that they care about, and will readily aid anyone who asks for it. They’re quite the social butterfly, to the point where they have the ability to persuade others to join their cause.

Marth

Marth is a character within the Fire Emblem series that makes his first appearance in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, which was released for NES in 1990.
