Attack on Titan is one of the most revolutionary manga to come out of Japan in the last decade. Real Action Heroes No. 706: Hanji Zoe by Medicom Toy is nothing short of a masterpiece. The amount of articulation is astounding and what's more, the joints are almost completely hidden by armor or clothing. This is likely as realistic a figure as is possible without sacrificing any of the anime/manga feel. Nendoroid Attack on Titan Hange Zoë Figure

Good Smile Company is a successful figurine company. This is for good reason too as their Nendoroid line is explosively famous, in Japan and overseas. Nendoroid figures often become collector’s items and sell for high prices on the second-hand buyers market. This shouldn’t really come as a surprise when looking at the quality of the work. Some Nendoroid models are sculpted or in this case painted by hand. Hanji comes with a whole host of variable extra parts including vertical maneuvering gear, dual blades, and hands. She also has both the regular smiling face, and an excited and drooling scientist face. In addition, plenty of articulation for all kinds of posing and display purposes.

About Hanji Zoe

Hanji Zoe is a member of the Survey Corps, specifically the 14th commander. She was previously the leader of the fourth squad but was appointed commander by former commander Erwin Smith before his death.

Background

Hanji is a usually calm and collected character with strong ties to her unit. The scientific side of things is also of huge importance to Hanji as titan research is a very serious endeavor and an exciting one. When a titan is captured Hanji can often be seen drooling at the prospect of experimenting on it.

Special Abilities

Hanji displays an above-average level of intelligence as seen by their curiosity towards titans capturing them and carrying out research on them in the field, to the development of various tactics and inventions. One such invention was using Eren Jaeger's hardening skill to create large guillotine-like structures on the wall. Named ‘The Executioner From Hell’, it made it possible to kill titans without using conventional means. Whatsmore, due to a large amount of time spent researching and trying to understand titans, she developed an incredible ability to use the vertical maneuvering gear.

Other Important Attack on Titan Characters

Attack on Titan has famously a huge swatch of characters. In addition to the main support characters such as Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert and Levi Ackerman, minor characters suddenly turn into major roles in the story. However, there are two characters, in particular, that stand out and left a huge impression on Hanji Zoe. The first is the much loved and respected 14th Survey Corps commander and the other is the ever conflicted and often mistrusted Eren Jaeger.

Erwin Smith

Erwin was Hanji’s commander and the two often worked together to concoct strategies and plans. During the Survey Corps.’ most pressing times Erwin and Hanji were always there to make sure everything went as successfully as possible. Erwin trusted Hanji so much so that he included her in high responsibility missions, such as capturing the female titan. After that, he even named her as his successor in the event that anything should happen to him.

Eren Jaeger

Eren Yeager was the first known case of people turning into titans. Due to this he was hated and distrusted by all, most likely due to fear and a lack of understanding. Hanji however was sure of Eren’s intentions and for the most part, supported and believed in him when no one else would. Hanji was however angered when Eren decided to jeopardize himself to save his friends and again when Eren broke off from the Survey Corps. to form a splinter group of his own.
