Yukihana Lamy - VTuber

Yukihana Lamy is a Japanese VTuber from Hololive’s 5th Generation, which also includes members like Omaru Polka, Shishiro Botan, Momosuzu Nene, and Mano Aloe (now retired). Since her debut in summer 2020, her soft-spoken nature, motherly personality, and love of alcohol have allowed her to gain a considerable following among her peers in Hololive and the greater VTuber community.

Lamy is a noble snow elf that left her home to stream for others after being inspired by the streams of other Hololive members. After joining Hololive, Lamy hosts a variety of different kinds of content from gaming streams to ASMR and chatting streams.

After the release of a video that introduced all of the members of Hololive’s 5th Generation on August 6th, 2020, Lamy made her first tweet on her individual account later that same day. Approximately a week later, she would make her official YouTube debut on August 12th, making her the first member of the 5th Generation to do so. By the end of the year, Lamy gained over 400,000 subscribers and teased her first alternate outfit, which she would reveal on New Year’s Day. On January 24th, 2021, Lamy revealed the 3D model for her character and reached 500,000 subscribers in the process.

Yukihana Lamy Physical Description

Yukihana Lamy is a snow elf girl with long, ice-blue hair with a long, heart-shaped ahoge (cowlick), and golden eyes. Although she says that she is 210 years old, her elven longevity makes her appear as a young human girl, with the exception of her incredibly pointy ears. Lamy’s original outfit consists of a white, blue, and black dress tied with a brown belt. She also wears a pair of white thigh-high stockings, a white hat, and a heavy blue coat that is lined with white fur and decorated with a snowflake pattern. Her blue hair is worn mostly down and has a white and blue flower in it.

On the other hand, Lamy’s New Year’s outfit consists of a kimono with a blue, white, and pink floral pattern that is tied with a red obi below her chest. It also includes a dark blue ankle-length skirt, a long piece of pink cloth wrapped around her arms, and a pair of black boots lined with white fur. Lamy’s hair is also tied up into loose twin tails. This outfit also allows Lamy to add a pair of cat ears and a cat tail, a fairly common trend with alternate outfits for Hololive members.

Yukihana Lamy Personality

Lamy is an incredibly kind-hearted and caring girl that is generally very soft-spoken and shy, though she has moments where she can be more assertive and passionate. Her calm, motherly nature has led many viewers and other Hololive members to think of Lamy as the “mother” of the 5th Generation. While she is very close with all of the members of her generation, Lamy is particularly close with Shishiro Botan, whose leadership and initiative have likewise caused her to be called the “father” of the group. Contrary to her wholesome personality, Lamy is also a fan of shonen manga, particularly from Shonen Jump. Some of her favorites include Death Note and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!. Aside from her love of shonen manga, Lamy also loves drinking alcohol and often holds chatting streams where she drinks sake.

Hololive Production is a VTuber agency that is owned by Cover Corporation and manages over fifty individual VTubers across several different brands like Hololive, Holostars, and INNK Music. The agency got its start in 2017, where Cover shifted its main focus from developing AR and VR software to producing “virtual idols”. The first VTuber to come from the company was Tokino Sora and has since created globally recognized characters like Inugami Korone, Gawr Gura (Gauru Gura), Usada Pekora, and more.

Lamy consistently holds chatting streams on her channel. Most of the time, her regular chatting streams are held in the morning at around 9 A.M. (Japan time) and can take place several times a week. Aside from her regular chatting streams, Lamy also has drinking streams where she enjoys sake as she talks with her audience. Her love of alcoholic drinks has also caused her to be associated with other Hololive members like Shirogane Noel, who shares a similar love for alcohol.

ASMR Streams

As one might expect, Lamy’s soft-spoken voice also makes her a great match for ASMR content. Although she does not do ASMR streams often, possibly due to YouTube’s unusually harsh treatment of ASMR content in the past, Lamy’s ASMR streams are some of her most popular uploads on her channel. She often uses a KU100 microphone, which costs several thousand US dollars and is often considered to be an incredibly high-end ASMR microphone. Most of her ASMR streams are themed around simple noises that would be found in everyday life, though she does have a few streams with other ASMR classics like ear cleaning as well.
