This gives her an image that is more relatable than other characters such as Monster Carrot or the chief of police. This is Bulma’s very first costume. Simple but endearing, it consists of a pink one-piece, a purple scarf, and purple boots and socks. Her red hair ribbon and blue hair however break up the theme by adding some variation. About Bulma

Bulma is the second protagonist of the Dragon Ball story. Starting with her debut in the very first issue, she has seen more than her fair share of action whether it’s fighting Pilaf and his goons, or the Red Ribbon army. Usually in a supportive position, often utilizing different technology to help further the Dragon Ball Seekers’ quest for the dragon balls.

Background

Hailing from West City, Bulma is the daughter of Capsule Corporation owner Dr. Briefs and his wife Mrs. Briefs, and the younger sister of Tights. She has a genius-level intellect and is the person responsible for making the very first dragon radar. She is also the second human Goku had ever seen apart from Grandpa Gohan and the first friend he ever made. She initially set out to search for the Dragon Balls in order to wish for an endless supply of strawberries, but later changed her mind and decided that she would wish for a boyfriend instead. Bulma is the most significant female character in the series and has been a part of the story for as long as Goku if not longer depending on origin stories as Bulma is slightly older.

Special Abilities

Bulma can invent almost anything. She has a wide assortment of capsules on hand for a variety of situations. She has not only vehicle capsules, but a whole house capsule that the team used during their journey and also in a cave on Planet Namek. Bulma also converted the scouter after Radtiz’s attack, and reverse engineered and made new and improved Saiyan armor post Planet Namek saga. She is extremely strong-willed also, being eventually able to somewhat control her husband Vegeta and having the audacity to slap God of Destruction Beerus in the face at her birthday party.

Other Important Dragon Ball Characters

With regards to Bulma, even though she has been consistently relevant in the series from the very first chapter and has made relationships with a large number of characters, there are two that specifically come to mind; her friend Son Goku, and her son Trunks.

Son Goku

Son Goku was just a little lonely boy living in the mountains until he was run over by Bulma’s car. Thinking that she had killed him, her panic was short-lived as he swiftly got to his feet and crushed her car with his power pole. This led Bulma to freak out and shoot him with a gun, to very little effect. The two clear up the misunderstanding, Bulma explaining that she in fact isn't a monster and is a girl, and Goku explaining that he lived in the mountains with his Grandpa until a monster killed him. Goku also then goes on to find out what a girl is and how they are different from boys, in quite a humorous way.

Trunks

Trunks is Bulma and Vegeta’s son. He is seen first when Frieza comes to Earth with his father King Cold in search of Goku. Of course, this Trunks is a teenage version of the character from the future. Trunks was then born some time before the androids appeared. He can be seen as a baby during the android and Cell sagas and a kid during the Majin Buu saga. He appears again in Dragon Ball Super one more time from the future.
