Kagura Gintama - Figures
The popular comedy series Gintama features a colorful cast of characters engaging in outrageous scenarios to make the monthly rent. Kagura, the series's female protagonist, shines as the brash and tomboyish younger sister figure. Her active role in the group's antics earned her a reputation as one of the most well-received female comedic characters in the manga. Like many other Gintama characters, Kagura experiences many appearance changes throughout the series. Here are two Kagura figures that best display her Two Year Timeskip design: "G.E.M. Series Gintama Kagura Adult Ver.," and "G.E.M. Series Gintama Kagura 2 Years Later."
G.E.M. Series Gintama Kagura Adult Ver. Figure
Kagura's voluptuous adult form receives a bouncing, cheerful depiction in this scale figure from MegaHouse. She wears a short cheongsam-inspired dress and cape over her newly adult body. She skips gleefully, arching her chest forward in a full-bodied step. She holds the hem of her dress in her hands, lifting the fabric up and back behind her. The cape-like billowing bounces with her step. The illusion of movement continues with her pigtails flipping up around her face. She smiles toward the viewer with her mouth wide open and her eyes shiny and bright.
Painting detail emphasizes the textural differences within the figure. Her skin appears smooth and matte while her short boots mimic a patent leather sheen. The metallic trim on her dress-coat features realistic highlights and lowlights following the folds in the fabric. As a bonus, her cheongsam dress can be removed to display her with the short, midriff-baring outfit underneath.

About Kagura
Kagura is the main female protagonist in Gintama. She joins the Yorozuya and participates in the series main antics alongside Gintoki and Shinpachi.
Kagura Background
Before joining the Yorozuya, Kagura grew up on a faraway planet as a member of the Yato tribe. One night, her older brother, Kamui, attacked their father causing him to go berserk and nearly kill his children in the process. Her father left to avoid attacking his children in the future, leaving a young Kagura to care for her sick mother. After her mother died, Kagura left for Earth to start a new life. Her upbringing made her very naive and overly trusting and she tends to behave in an "unladylike" manner. She wishes to leave her legacy as a Yato behind and live life as a normal girl.
Kagura Abilities
Like other Yato, Kagura possesses heightened senses and immense physical strength beyond that of a normal human. Her kindness and aversion to violence hold back her full potential as a dangerous fighter. When her full Yato mode activates, Kagura's already impressive strength increases dramatically. However, she loses control and mental awareness in this state, remembering only anger after leaving it. She also possesses rapid healing abilities as seen in her fight with Kijima Matako. As the series develops, Kagura develops unique abilities, such as controlling her age and appearance at will.
Other Important Gintama Characters
Within the large Ginatama cast, Kagura mainly interacts with the other Yorozuya members.
Sadaharu
Sadaharu is a large, white dog and Kagura's pet. Originally an Inugami of destruction and attack, Sadaharu used to guard the Dragon's Pulse at the Dragon's Lair on Earth. After the Amanto arrived and built a space terminal over the Dragon's Pulse, Sadaharu's role as guardian ended. Eventually, he entered the care of the Yorozuya when his handlers found his upkeep too expensive. Due to his size and power, Kagura primarily cares for Sadaharu due to her strength. Kagura named Sadaharu after her numerous failed attempts at owning a pet, making him technically "Sadaharu #27."
Kamui
Kamui is Kagura's older brother and one of the recurring antagonists throughout the series. His initial focus centers on the meaning of strength and achieving as much physical strength as possible. After he failed to revive an old Yato tradition by killing his father, Kamui left home to follow Housen as a space pirate. Over time, Kamui's perception of his sister changes, and he starts to genuinely care for her.
Sakata Gintoki
Gintoki Sakata is the main character of the series and founder of Yorozuya. In the past, Gintoki fought in the Joui War. His prowess and swordsmanship earned him the nickname "Shiroyasha," likening his skills to a powerful demon. Since then, Gintoki became incredibly lazy, preferring to spend his time reading manga and spouting half-baked wisdom to his young employees. He does care deeply for his friends and values their lives far above his own. He acts as a pseudo older brother figure to Kagura.
