OtapediaYuffie Kisaragi Final Fantasy (FF7) - Figures

Yuffie Kisaragi is a character in the Final Fantasy series that can join Cloud Strife after fulfilling certain quests. The game she originates from, Final Fantasy VII, was both developed and published by Square Enix in early 1997 for the PlayStation. Although this game was released for the PlayStation, it was later ported to other platforms and even re-built from the ground up in the Final Fantasy VII Remake. Final Fantasy VII is generally considered to be the most successful entry in the Final Fantasy series, and with it came an incredible amount of merchandise. Figures inspired by the game’s playable characters were especially popular, with Yuffie being particularly popular for her ninja background, appealing design, and tomboyish personality. Out of the numerous different figures recreating her likeness, some of the most popular figures of Yuffie include the “Play Arts Kai Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Yuffie Kisaragi” and the “‘Final Fantasy Trading Arts Kai Mini No. 12 - Yuffie Kisaragi”.

This outfit includes a short, sleeveless black vest with a black tank top, a pair of khaki shorts, tall, knee-high boots, a long black headband, and a pink ribbon tied around her arm in a bow.

This figure, like all others in the Play Arts Kai series, has points of articulation in the ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, and neck of the figure, which allow users to move it into a variety of different poses to recreate iconic scenes from the series. Extra parts like her signature shuriken weapon and spare hand parts allow for even more possibilities, making it a wonderful addition to anyone’s collection.

About Yuffie Kisaragi

Yuffie is a playable character from Final Fantasy VII that can join the player’s party after satisfying certain conditions.

Background

Yuffie is the daughter of the leader of Wutai, Godo Kisaragi. Wutai was a nation of once-proud people before it was occupied by Shinra and turned into a tourist nation. Although Yuffie has a distaste for most Wutai traditions, she does inherit the prideful nature and holds herself in very high regard. Her lack of desire to follow her people’s traditions eventually lead her to rebel against her father. The player first encounters Yuffie as the “Mysterious Ninja”, who attempts to steal various items from the player if they fail to recruit her. If the player succeeds, she will join the party.

Special Abilities

In battle, Yuffie wields shuriken-type weapons. Although most of her stats are all considered to be below average, her Luck stat is especially high, which gives her a higher chance for critical hits. The Conformer, Yuffie’s ultimate weapon, also deals more damage to higher-leveled enemies, making it one of the better ultimate weapons. Yuffie’s Limit abilities, like “Greased Lightning”, “Bloodfest”, and “All Creation” all focus on dealing damage to all enemies.

Other Important Final Fantasy VII Characters

As an optional character in Final Fantasy VII, Yuffie has little effect on the main progression of the story and its characters, though two characters have a notable effect on Yuffie: Godo Kisaragi and Zack Fair.

Godo Kisaragi

Godo is Yuffie’s father and is the leader of their homeland, Wutai. In his youth, he was known for being an incredible fighter and leader. When Shinra tried to encroach on their land to build a Mako Reactor and spread their influence further, Godo and his people fought back fiercely, though this attempt eventually ended in failure. After his eventual defeat, Shinra changes plans and turns Wutai into a tourist destination instead. Yuffie sees this as a sign of weakness and begins to rebel against him. When Yuffie attempts to fight against the Five Gods of Wutai, she finds that Godo is their leader.

Zack Fair

Zack Fair is a minor character in Final Fantasy VII, but is the protagonist of Crisis Core -Final Fantasy-, the prequel of the original game. He is a member of SOLDIER and is the wielder of the iconic Buster Sword before it is given to Cloud Strife. Zack first meets Yuffie when she is very young during his mission to infiltrate Fort Tamblin in Wutai. Despite being enemies, Zack and Yuffie have a rather playful relationship. Throughout Crisis Core, Yuffie will send Zack messages taunting him to travel to certain locations with rare treasures in the hope of ambushing him. These attempts often do not work, leading her to flee and try again another time.
