About Wilson Fisk

Wilson Fisk is the Kingpin of a crime syndicate in New York, and even leads gangs on the West Coast. He is also an antagonist for Spider-Man and an Arch-Nemesis for Daredevil, trying to kill both several times.

Background

Wilson Fisk had humble beginnings, forcing him to turn to self-education for him to realize his talents. That being bodybuilding and political science. Wilson Fisk realized at the age of fifteen that if he united gangs, he would have a path to power. After starting a drug war with his gang, he even joined the mafia and rose through the ranks. After plotting with the other number two in their mafia, Wilson Fisk took control of the family and became Kingpin. Being “chubby” as a child made Fisk realize he needed to get in shape, so he became an Olympic-level weightlifter. He also focused his talents on the art of Sumo, which made him peak to near-superhuman levels of strength. Being smart, strong, and motivated made Kingpin a horrifying enemy, along with him having connections throughout the entire government!

Special Abilities

Wilson Fisk had insane strength, like to where he can crush peoples’ heads without much effort. Along with his strength, he was a martial arts master in several different forms like; Sumo, Judo, and Hapkido. He is also a criminal mastermind, employing everyone he can, even superhumans! They all obey his command for either the money and connections he has or simply out of fear.

Other Important Daredevil Characters

Wilson Fisk has many relationships throughout the comics and the TV series. Many are bad for the other person, but a few are good. Here are a few people that survived when their paths crossed with Kingpin.

Daredevil

Obviously, the protagonist and the antagonist of a story are bound to run into each other, but the relationship between these two is really complex. It starts off with Kingpin using Daredevil to clear the way for Kingpin’s new crew to rise in power. Kingpin was about to leave the crime game when someone kidnapped his wife and killed her. This made Wilson Fisk jump back into the game. However, instead of turning the information he had on other crime lords to the government, he handed it to Daredevil. Daredevil then did what he does best, beat them up and turned them in. It was later that Kingpin would learn that Daredevil was a lawyer, who stopped one of Kingpin’s schemes in the mayoral race in their city! This made Kingpin hire Elektra to kill Daredevil’s law practice partner, which ultimately led to her death.

Elektra

Elektra is the Kunoichi of New York. She is the daughter of the Greek ambassador to America and is a for-hire assassin. While he disagrees with her career choice, Elektra and Daredevil have very strong feelings for each other, even being lovers. Her career is cut short, however, shortly after she was hired as Kingpin’s head assassin. She replaced Bullseye, who was going insane, which didn’t make Bullseye happy. Elektra was sent out on a mission to kill Daredevil’s law partner, which she couldn’t complete because she knew him. While she was out on her mission, Bullseye caught up with her and killed her.

Spiderman

Spiderman is one of Wilson Fisk’s earliest opponents and usually was able to beat or stop Wilson Fisk. However, during Spiderman’s many fights he decided to retire, which Wilson took advantage of. Wilson Fisk united all of the mobs across the country as well as many of the villains in New York. They were about to cause the greatest crime wave which had never been seen before. It was then of course that Spiderman came out of retirement and stopped the plan in its tracks. This was probably the biggest stop to Wilson Fisk’s plans that were done by Spiderman.

Bullseye

Bullseye was once Kingpin’s personal assassin, however, his inability to defeat Daredevil caused Kingpin to choose Elektra instead. What was Bullseye’s answer? To simply kill Elektra, and he did it with a playing card that Elektra had in her sai. Bullseye is a mercenary for hire who specializes in two things, throwing objects at incredible speeds, and being insane. Being insane actually helped him as he worked alongside Kingpin and continued to kill and become wealthy and feared.
