Apex Legends is a free-to-play first-person shooter that was released in early 2019. The gameplay is mostly centered around a style known as battle royale, which features a fight with many players that ends once only one fighter remains standing. About Wraith
Wraith is a playable character available on the base version of Apex Legends that was released on February 4, 2019. She is one of six different characters that were playable immediately at the start of the game on base release. Here is a brief overview of the character.
Background
Wraith, also known as Renee H. Blasey, is both mysterious and deadly. Her story starts with the loss of her memory, having woken up in the IMC Detention Facility for the Mentally Ill. She heard distant voices in her head that did not allow her to sleep, driving her insane. One day her life changed drastically when a portal opened before her, revealing a person wearing a purple helmet. The person berated Renee for not fighting back, revealing themselves to be from another dimension. They wanted revenge against the people who experimented on them, freeing Wraith from the confines of the Detention Facility. With the help of this mysterious figure, Wraith learned to trust the voices in her head and learned how to manipulate the void to her advantage. She then set off on a path to learn of her past, no matter the cost.
Special Abilities
Wraith’s abilities surround her capability of manipulating the void. She is an offensive legend, meaning that she is a great selection for players who want to be the one doing the damage to the enemy team. She can move around quickly with her ability Into the Void, rendering her incapable of taking damage for a short period of time. Wraith can hear Voices from the Void, which warn her when danger is nearby. She also is able to use a Dimensional Rift, connecting two separate locations for 60 seconds. Other players are also able to pass through this rift as well.

She has a smoke launcher that is great for both attacking and retreating. Her passive also gives her a speed boost when being shot at, providing a great advantage against the enemy. Bangalore is particularly good at pushing against the enemy team, using the smoke and speed boost to her advantage.
Lifeline
Lifeline is another playable character that is available on the base version of Apex Legends. Lifeline, also known as Ajay Che, is a combat medic with quite an interesting background. She comes from a family of rich profiteers of war, not anyone who would be found on the battlefield. She resents this, choosing to leave home and provide aid to those on the battlefield. Her playstyle is great for players who want to offer support to their team, being able to heal her team as well as provide a care package.
