About Sakura Matou

Sakura Matou was born as Sakura Tohsaka, the biological sister of Rin Tohsaka. She is one of three main heroines in Fate/stay night, serving as the master of Rider during the Fifth Holy Grail War. Here are some more details about the character.

Background

Sakura was adopted by Zouken Matou when there could only be one successor to the Tohsaka family tradition. Zouken sought to make Sakura one of his future vessels, so he made her endure cruel training in order to fit the part. Sakura is a sweet, and soft-spoken girl. She is somewhat shy and eager to please, but she possesses an inner strength that sometimes she even underestimates.

Special Abilities

Sakura was born with an innate natural talent. She is able to manipulate shadows as well as use an almost infinite source of magic from the Holy Grail. Sakura’s shadow abilities allow her to summon shadow giants to fight for her, teleport and even go as far as soul consumption. On top of this, she has virtually limitless stamina.
