Hazama Honoka BlazBlue - Figures
BlazBlue is a video game series that was developed and published by Arc System Works in Japan. It was first released back in 2008 as an arcade game and had subsequent releases on platforms such as the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Playstation Vita, and more. The series has also received an anime adaptation, which aired during the fall season of 2013. The video game series has been exceedingly popular in Japan, having sold 1.7 million copies of the games as of August 2012. Hazama Honoka made his first appearance in the first BlazBlue game, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. He was later featured as a main antagonist of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. He has been an exceedingly popular character throughout the series. There are some cool figures that fans can find for him, like the “BlazBlue Hazama 1/8 Scale Figure”.
BlazBlue Hazama 1/8 Scale Figure
This figure of Hazama gives fans all of the energy of the original character in a smaller size. Sculpted by Denki Unagi Hatsuden, this Hazama Honoka figure is 1/8 scale and stands at approximately 12.6” tall with the included base. He was created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the BlazBlue video game series! There was clearly a lot of time and care put into this piece, with every detail laid with perfection. He is shown summoning his green energy, ready to launch an attack on any who may choose to oppose him. Hazama looks like he could be swept away with the wind, his long coat flowing dramatically behind him. His facial expression is the icing on the cake, truly representing the personality of this iconic character. He also comes with an additional headpiece, one that shows off his green hair and snake-like eyes of Terumi.

About Hazama Honoka
Hazama Honoka was a captain of the Novus Orbis Librarium. He is also known as Corporal Honoka, and he is what is known as a Blue Grimoire. A grimoire is used in order to access the Ars Magus and is controlled through the Novus Orbis Librarium. The Blue Grimoire takes on the form of a human, and Hazama is one of few wielders of this ability.
Background
Hazama has a similar appearance to the human form of Yuki Terumi. He is tall and thin with short emerald green hair. Hazama also wears a dress suit with two brown belts and a long, flowing black overcoat. To top it off, he wears a black fedora. His eyes are narrow, often appearing as though they are shut at all times. He constantly has an unnerving smile on his face, he certainly often looks like he is up to something! His appearance may seem a bit “off” when compared to other humans because Hazama is in fact an artificial human. Hazama’s body is hollow inside, not containing any organs. Despite this, he still has the uncanny ability to breathe and eat food like a normal human being. He was created to simply serve as a vessel for Terumi, but he actually has many of his own thoughts, desires, and motivations outside of his originally intended purpose.
Special Abilities
Hazama is most certainly not to be underestimated. Despite his slender appearance, Hazama is actually quite powerful. He wields two butterfly knives in battle, showing precision and speed that is highly deadly. Furthermore, his fighting style is similar to that of a dance, being able to create green energy to whip at his opponents. True to his nature, Hazama is a master manipulator that will often toy with his enemies in battle. In the gameplay of BlazBlue, Hazama’s Drive is Ouroboros, a black snake head attached to a green chain. He uses this to propel himself across the battlefield, as well as ensnare his enemies. Ouroboros is so strong that even some of the strongest enemies cannot escape its grasp!

There is most certainly no lack of characters in BlazBlue. The first BlazBlue game featured 12 different playable characters, with the most recent installment featuring 53 playable characters. Here are two other interesting characters seen in the BlazBlue series.
Yuki Terumi
Yuki Terumi was the creator of the Blue Grimoire and is one of few along with Hazama to wield it. He was one of the Six Heroes, which were a group of champions that fought against the Black Beast during the Great Dark War. Terumi has a mysterious appearance and is shown wearing a yellow hooded cape over his head. Hazama was meant to be a vessel of Yuki, with the character being able to take full control over his body. Yuki Terumi is a sadistic man. He is strong-willed and sharp-minded, delighting in the suffering of others. He’s also very manipulative, using others for his own amusement.
Noel Vermillion
Noel Vermillion is a playable character throughout the BlazBlue series. She is also known as the Calamity Trigger, Successor of the Blue, as well as the Eye of the Blue. She used to be a member of the World Void Information Control Organization, where she served as a second lieutenant. Noel is a young girl dressed in blue, with blonde hair that flows down her back. She has a very sweet demeanor, though she is quite shy and often very clumsy. Furthermore, Noel is very self-conscious, often getting worked up over small things. Despite her shyness, she is motivated and determined to reach her goals, and is a very loyal friend.
