Metroid Prime is a video game developed by Retro Studios and Nintendo for the GameCube. It is an action-adventure game as well as the fifth main installment to the Metroid series. About Samus Aran
Samus was initially introduced in the first installment of the series, Metroid, in 1986. She is a galactic bounty hunter who was formerly a soldier of the Galactic Federation. Here is some information about Samus.
Background
Samus is widely considered to be one of the first female protagonists in any video game series, and she is one of the most beloved video characters in history. She usually wears a Power Suit which is fitted with missiles and directed-energy weapons, fighting against the Space Pirates. She carries out missions assigned to her by the Galactic Federation while she hunts Ridley, her archenemy.
Special Abilities
Samus has Chozo infused DNA, which grants her strong resistance to foreign environments as well as superhuman athleticism. The Chozo were also the ones to give her the Power Suit, which she uses to fight against the Space Pirates. Samus’ Power Suit protects her from most dangers and can be enhanced by collecting power-ups during gameplay. The suit can also allow Samus to curl into a small Morph Ball, allowing her to roll through tight spaces.

Samus is the recurring protagonist that is featured throughout every main installment of the Metroid series. There aren’t very many other protagonists in the series, but there are several antagonists that Samus must face. Here is one of the main antagonists that is recurring throughout the series.
Ridley
Ridley, also known as Geoform 187 and The Cunning God of Death, is the archenemy of Samus. He is an evil draconic extraterrestrial, as well as the leader of the Space Pirate raid that lead to the death of Samus’ parents. Samus has fought against him and defeated him many times, but he always manages to be resurrected due to a combination of Space Pirate engineering and his own regenerative abilities.
