However, the standard normal Psycho wears a white mask with a symbol of the Vault on it, orange pants, and is shirtless with work boots.

Background

Psychos, who were once human, were physically mutated due to mysterious scientific experiments. They have become psychotic and maniacal and often go on rampages while in search of their next victims. They are good fighters and are quick on their feet, often devouring their enemies. Psychos usually carry an axe and are seen as antagonistic bandits throughout the series.

Special Abilities

Although Borderlands Psycho are mainly non-playable characters throughout the game series, except for Krieg in Borderlands 2, they possess special abilities that have allowed them to gain many fans. Psycho runs quickly before getting into the striking range of their victims. They are axe-wielding bandits that usually strike with a single slash. Their agility and affinity for combat make them hard to defeat in the series.

Other Important Borderlands Characters

The Borderlands Psycho has regular interactions with players of the game. Other notable characters in the Borderlands series are Mad Moxxi, the owner and hostess of the Underdome, and Krieg, who is a distinctive Psycho.

Mad Moxxi

Mad Moxxi is initially the clan wife of the Hodunk clan, before escaping with her children. She opened many bars and coliseums, most notably, the Underdome. She hosts battles at the Underdome, as she seeks out a husband. She's promiscuous in nature and prizes herself to the winner of the main battle at the Underdome. She assists in key parts of the storyline, such as with the recruiting of Vault Hunters.

Krieg

Krieg is a popular Psycho class character who is playable in Borderlands 2. He is originally from a Bandit family and was taken to be a part of an experiment before becoming a Psycho. Rather than giving into maniacal impulses as most of the Psychos do, Krieg's split personality talks him into harming no innocent people. He eventually breaks out of the experiment lab and rescues fellow lab subjects before working with the Crimson Raiders. Krieg's psychosis eventually takes over his psyche, however, he's unable to control it. He fell in love with Maya, who returned to another planet, Athenas. Krieg attempts to meet Maya again, finding comfort in her potential return.
