OtapediaCarrot One Piece - Figures

The One Piece franchise began as a manga series that was written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda since July 1997 and has continued its serialization to the present day. Currently, the manga has over one-thousand chapters, nine-hundred episodes of its anime adaptation, a dozen theatrically released films, and many other kinds of media that have been released throughout the years. Since its first chapter was published in 1997, One Piece has become a global phenomenon and broke numerous records in the process.

As a series with such a high reputation, it is no surprise that there is an incredible amount of merchandise available for fans to add to their collection. This even holds true for the hundreds of minor characters in the series. One such character is the rabbit mink, Carrot. Despite her fairly small role, she still has a small handful of figures for fans to choose from. Some of the most popular figures of Carrot include the One Piece Sweet Style Pirates Carrot”, the “Portrait of Pirates One Piece Limited Edition Carrot”, and the “One Piece World Collectable Figure: Whole Cake Island Vol. 3”.

About Carrot

Carrot is a minor character in the One Piece series that was introduced in the Zou Arc. The following is a short summary of her character.

Background

Carrot is a rabbit mink that was raised on Zou, a living, moving island that rests on the back of a giant, ancient elephant. Like the other minks, she has very distinct animal-like traits, like white fur and tall, floppy bunny ears. When she was young, she trained hard to become a member of the Inuarashi Musketeer squad. Initially, she displayed a lack of combat skill and had trouble wielding a sword, leading to Pedro giving her a pair of gauntlets with claws on them. This weapon proved to be much easier for her to wield.

Special Abilities

Aside from being an incredible fighter with great strength, stamina, and agility, Carrot has a number of abilities that the Straw Hat pirates had not encountered previously. One such ability is “Electro”, which is something that all minks can use. This ability allows a mink to channel electricity through their body and reinforce their attacks by shocking their opponent on top of any physical damage they deal. Furthermore, Carrot has mastered the “Sulong” transformation when looking into the full moon. This form gives her an immense amount of power at the expense of a great deal of physical strain to her body.

Other Important One Piece Characters

Two characters that are especially important to Carrot, either directly or indirectly, are Pedro and Kin’emon

Pedro

Pedro is a feline mink and is the former captain of the Nox Pirates, a group of minks that set out from Zou in an attempt to find a Poneglyph. The band of pirates ended up gaining a sizable bounty, with Pedro alone earning a bounty of 382,000,000 bellies. While Carrot was still training to become a Musketeer, Pedro noticed her lack of skills as a swordswoman, leading to Pedro giving her the gauntlets she uses in the present.

Kin’emon

Kin’emon is a powerful samurai from Wano Country that the Straw Hat Pirates first meet in the Punk Hazard Arc. His true purpose in the story is left unknown, but after arriving at Zou, it begins to become clear. Kin’emon eventually reveals himself to be a retainer for the Kozuki Family, the former leaders of Wano Country, which has been closed off for as long as anyone can remember. However, Kin’emon finds the first solid piece of evidence that contradicts this idea: the crest of the Kozuki Family painted in a hidden structure at Zou. This crest proved that Wano Country used to be open to the world and that the Kozuki family formed an alliance with the minks at some point in time.
