The WWE Series Story

The WWE has had a turbulent and surprising rise to power, but has done so nonetheless! Starting in 1982, this business has sprouted off rival wrestling businesses and has crossed lines between entertainment styles. The rest of the story is just as encaptivating, check it out below.

Series Overview

The WWE has an ongoing series about many wrestlers’ attempt to become the WWE world heavyweight Champion. This drama and comedy TV series manages to capture many people’s hearts and attention with hero wrestlers and their foes. From Wrestlers being dubbed as “superstars” many actually take on the role and inspire many people, both children, and adults. Many headliner wrestlers go on to make many films and even go on to disappear from the public eye. However, at some point, they all return to make a huge impact on both old fans and new! Some will even go so far as to start “beef” in order to be accepted back on the show.

Series Characters

It would literally take hours and pages to tell about all of the main characters of WWE's history. Here are a few names who have broken out of wrestling to become acting stars or other kinds of stars. We have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, The Undertaker, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and even Tajiri and Ultimo Dragon! These are only a few of hundreds of big-name stars to come from the industry.

The WWE Series Development

The WWE is the biggest wrestling foundation in the world. While many are coming close, not one can contest that the WWE is on top. Bringing in stellar performers from all over the world, their sets continue to bring in fans globally. Here is a closer look into what it takes to produce a show.

Series Production

The WWE began in 1982 when Mr. Vincent McMahon bought his father’s wrestling company and began to transform it. With hard work and amazing talent, their views began to rise. With these views came stardom, and the rise of Hulk Hogan, the first superstar from the WWE. Soon to follow would be names like “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, André the Giant, and more! This was the first generation of superstars to take the world by storm. Each generation had different relationships and fights. They would all compete for different championship belts and even have special matches to “Wow” the crowds. These would happen first on the WWF, which spawned the ECW and NWF. All intertwined and fighting, then the NWF and ECW would fall, and the WWF would become the WWE. Then the WWE split into two programs, Saturday night Smackdown and Sunday Night Raw, with separate rosters and special events.

Series Reception

The WWE has always been loved by their incredibly devoted fans, but the other side is just as devoted. The bad thing is they are devoted to hating the sport, saying that wrestling is fake. There will always be haters, as many of the superstars will say, but the sport and company will always continue. Especially their main events, Wrestlemania, the biggest wrestling event of their seasons. Each one manages to top the previous year and is the biggest attraction. One of the most important parts of the series and company is the continued interaction with children of special needs. They often let “Make-a-Wish children meet their wrestler superheroes and may even let the children beat them in a match.
