The Rick and Morty Series Story

After arriving at his daughter’s front door after disappearing for nearly 20 years, Rick moves into the garage. Out of the blue, Rick and his grandson, Morty take off on adventures around the galaxy and even through time!

Series Overview

Taking place in the garage, Rick and his grandson Morty go on adventures all over the galaxy. That depends on what research Rick is doing and what pain Morty needs to go through for it to happen. This story takes place in different dimensions, with simulations happening without any of the characters realizing it. From a helper being going crazy to a man named after a nasty body part. Literally, anything can happen in this cartoon, which is part of the appeal. If this cartoon has a goal it is for Morty to survive not only Rick’s crazy experiments but High school!

Series Characters

Rick Sanchez is literally a mad scientist and with his Grandson Morty they are the main characters. These two fight beings from all over the galaxy, sometimes they even bring Rick’s granddaughter Summer into the fray. Summer is Morty’s sister who really doesn’t care about much other than the timeline on her phone. Beth and Jerry are Morty and Summer’s parents, and they usually have no idea what happens. Even if they did, Beth probably wouldn’t care because of her love for Rick. Jerry knows that Rick experiments on Morty, but being powerless and kinda wimpy, focuses on his failing marriage with Beth.

The Rick and Morty Series Development

Rick and Morty is a famous Cartoon at this point, being incredibly popular with younger generations. However, it is still an up-and-coming cartoon as its version of comedy is very niche. Being 4 seasons deep, there is no end in sight for this cartoon.

Series Production

This cartoon was first released in 2013 on Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s late-night TV block. Now on season four and hinting at a fifth, this series steamrolls any who watch it. Thank Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland for creating this masterpiece of an American Cartoon. Now Rick and Morty have reached the point in any famous cartoon’s history where they have been featured in commercials. Even appearing in a commercial for the American Superbowl (this is a big deal in America, believe it or not).

Series Reception

Immediately after its release, Rick and Morty had an instant fan base all over America. Spanning from high-schoolers to adults, the love for this cartoon was instant and unmoving. With each new season, the hype around Rick and Morty only grows to even attract new fans. However, as with any popular show, there is a downside. The type of comedy featured in this show makes it impossible for older generations to jump on the fan wagon. Which the show doesn’t hide or seem to care about honestly, the writers almost act like Summer on her phone! They know that it’s a specific type of comedy that not everyone can follow, but those who do are obsessed.
