Background

Lúcio, also known as Lúcio Correia dos Santos is an inspirational performer and celebrity from Brazil. He routinely performed and DJ'd to bring people together following their oppression by the multinational Vishkar Corporation in his hometown. He got hold of some unique sonic technology used by the corporation and turned it against them. He drove the multinational Vishkar Corporation out of his neighborhood and became popular among the citizens. He was holding a concert one day when it was attacked by a terrorist group called Null Sector. He fought alongside Overwatch before joining the team. He has numerous special abilities which include Crossfade, which uses music to heal and boost his teammates’ speed. Furthermore, he is known to be uplifting and energetic, and a master of sound and music.

Lucio is capable of defeating opponents with a wide range of abilities and tools. His role as a support hero includes his use of the Sonic Amplifier, which uses a blast of sound to attack enemies. Moreover, in his signature move, Crossfade uses music to improve his and his teammates' speed and health. Other signature sound-related moves that Lucio is equipped with are "Amp It Up" and "sound barrier". He uses rollerblades that allow him to easily navigate the field and assist his teammates.
