Kantai Collection -Kan Colle- is a Japanese free-to-play web browser game that was developed by Kadokawa Games and published by DMM. Kantai Collection is abbreviated as KanColle and subtitled as “Combined Fleet Girls Collection”. The theme of Kantai Collection is the representation of famous World War II ships personified as young women. Each girl has personality traits and characteristics that reflect the history of each ship. The game was first launched in April of 2013 and has since had many other forms of media published. There are manga, light novels, an official tabletop role-playing game, and more. There are several charming figures of the characters available for purchase now. KanColle Kashima: Shopping Mode 1/8 Scale Figure
This 1/8 scale figure of Kashima features her with shopping bags across her arms and a soft smile across her face. She stands at approximately 8.3” tall in a cute but casual outfit. The details of this figure are quite impressive in a number of ways. In particular, the way that her clothing is sculpted is breathtaking. Her skirt and her shirt both hug her curves realistically, sculpted to perfection. Her hair is also sculpted with care, pigtails falling in ringlets around her face and shoulders. Kantai Collection Series Story
The original Kantai Collection game does not follow a particular storyline. The game focuses primarily on gameplay, but some other forms of media have created different canons of stories. The stories between various forms of media differ from one another, depictions and interpretations varying across platforms. The Kantai Collection manga features a storyline where all of the fleet girls are enrolled in school together. In this school the younger girls learn different battle techniques from the older girls.
Kantai Collection Series Development
Kantai Collection was initially launched as a web browser game in Japan on April 23, 2013. The original game is still only available in Japan, but there are many other forms of media within the franchise. There is an anime television series that first aired from January to March of 2015, as well as an animated film released in 2016. Kantai Collection’s media reach does not stop there, though, as there are also manga, light novels, and more to enjoy. As of April 2015, the original Kantai Collection game has over 3 million registered players. Kantai Collection took the gaming world in Japan by storm when it was first published. It has often been compared with Touhou Project as an emerging viral fandom.
