Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Series Story
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is both an anime and manga series with comedy and fantasy charm. The plot follows office worker and programmer Kobayashi whose life takes an interesting turn when a large dragon appears right at her front door. The dragon then transforms before Kobayashi’s eyes into a human with horns and a big dragon tail and introduces herself as Tohru. Tohru came to Kobayashi because she had encountered the dragon before during a drunken excursion the night before. Kobayashi removed a holy sword from Tohru’s back, earning her trust and gratitude. Kobayashi offers Tohru a place to stay in exchange for Tohru becoming her personal maid, thus beginning the journey of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid.
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Series Development
Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid first began as a manga series written and illustrated by Coolkyousinnjya. The first manga volume was published by Futabasha in their Monthly Action Magazine on May 24 2013 and is still presently being released. The anime adaptation for this story was created by Kyoto Animation and directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto. It originally ran from January 11 2017 until April 6, 2017. The manga has been a very popular seller, having over 1.2 million copies in print as of February 2018. Since its release, fans around the world have fallen in love with the characters and their stories and are eagerly awaiting more manga volumes and anime adaptations to be released.
