OtapediaFlash - Action Figures

The Flash is a superhero within the American comic books series published by DC Comics. He was created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert. The Flash made his first appearance in Flash Comics #1 back in January of 1940. Throughout all incarnations, the Flash’s key characteristic has been his “super speed”. He can run, move, and think very fast, violating certain laws of physics as he goes. There have been four different characters to assume the role of “Flash” throughout the years. They are all different people that have been related and unrelated to one another. The Flash has been a popular character throughout history, resulting in him having numerous figures for fans to choose from. Some of the options are: The Flash New 52 Statue, The Flash 1/10 Scale Art Scale Figure, and the Justice League Flash Figure.

The Flash Series Story

Since the Flash has many different incarnations, there are several different origin stories. In the case of Barry Allen, his transformation was a huge day from his slow, everyday life. Allen was working as an assistant scientist and he was leaving work one night when a lightning bolt struck a shelf in his lab. The contents of the shelf fell, dousing Allen with a cocktail of chemicals. As a result of this, Barry Allen now had the ability of super speed. He then decided to use his powers to fight against crime.

The Flash Series Development

Since his initial debut back in 1940, the Flash has been a large influence on superhero culture as well as pop culture. The Golden Age of the Flash Comics was created by All-American Publications. This company was one of three that would later be merged to create DC Comics. The popularity of the Flash was very high around this time until the post-war era, where Flash Comics was canceled. Of course, this was not the end of the Flash, as the Silver age and Modern age still had yet to be published. His reception by fans can most definitely not be understated. The Flash has been a very popular character, rivaling other superheroes like Superman and Batman. There have been many different comics, TV shows, films, and other forms of media created that have included the character. Far more even still make references to the character to this day.
