Wolverine Series Story

The story of the Wolverine film series begins in 1845 in Canada. It starts with a boy named James Howlett witnessing the death of his father. The trauma of witnessing such an event triggers his mutation, which are bone claws that protrude from his knuckles. He impales the man who killed his father before he reveals that he is James’ actual father before dying. The young James flees with his half-brother Victor Creed, who also has a similar mutation. The two fight together for more than a century as soldiers in many different wars. After a series of events thereafter, they join a group of mutants called Team X, where James uses the alias Logan. Logan eventually leaves this group, starting off on his own.

Wolverine Series Development

The first film in the Wolverine trilogy was created in 2009 based on the Marvel Comics fictional character, Wolverine. The film was written by David Benihoff and Skip Woods, directed by Gavin Hood, and produced by Hugh Jackman. Coincidentally, Hugh Jackman also plays the main role of Wolverine within this film series. Despite filming taking place more than a year before the release of the film, it was not released due to post-production issues. The film ultimately received somewhat mixed reviews from critics but grossed $373 million worldwide.
