Doctor Strange - Action Figures
Doctor Strange is a character that appears within the American comic book series published by Marvel Comics. He was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. Doctor Strange made his first appearance in July 1963 in the Strange Tales #110 comic book. Doctor Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme, who is the main protector of Earth against magical threats. He began as an egotistical surgeon who loses the ability to perform his job after a car accident damages his hands beyond repair. After a series of events thereafter, Doctor Strange acquires magical abilities and his role as Sorcerer Supreme. Since his first debut back in 1963, Doctor Strange has been seen throughout many different forms of media. There are many figures available of him for purchase today. This non-scale figure of Doctor strange features him as he appears in the Avengers: Infinity War film. He stands at approximately 5.9” tall and comes with a variety of different accessories for several posing possibilities. Doctor Strange Avengers: Endgame Nendoroid Figure
This Nendoroid figure of Doctor Strange features his appearance within the Avengers: Endgame film. Despite his small size at approximately 3.9” tall, there is still a lot of power and detail within this tiny character. He has three different face plates, all of which have sustained damage from the previous fight with Thanos. He has a serious face, a battle face with gritted teeth, and a thoughtful face where he glances to the side. There are also multiple-effect parts available with this figure. Doctor Strange Series Story
The story of Doctor Stephen Strange begins with him being a surgeon with an overinflated ego. One day his life is flipped upside when he is in a terrible car crash that causes him to lose the ability to move his hands. Now unable to do his job, he has lost his purpose in life and seeks to do whatever he can to get it back. He searches the globe for someone to heal him, and he comes across the Ancient One. Strange becomes the student of the Ancient One, then becomes a master of mystical and martial arts. Doctor Strange finds a new purpose in the mystical world and assumes the title of Sorcerer Supreme. He uses his powers thereafter to fight against all mystical threats.
Doctor Strange Series Development
Doctor Strange was the result of the creative genius of both Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. However, both men have stated that the idea was originally Ditko’s. Ditko brought a story of his idea to Lee, who took the story and used it to create Doctor Strange. The initial debut of Doctor Strange was in Strange Tales #110 along with “The Human Torch”. Stan Lee later stated that his inspiration for Doctor Strange came from the Chandu the Magician radio program. Since his initial creation in 1963, Doctor Strange has been involved in many different forms of media. He has been seen in many films, novels, video games, and more.
