Harry Potter - Action Figures
The Harry Potter series reshaped children’s literature and defined a generation of kids in the early 2000s. It remains a culturally enduring series, with app games and new theme parks opening around the world. While the original series films may have ended, spinoffs are getting adaptations to keep the magic going. Merchandise for the series is endless. As far as figures go, for the most part, the cuter they are the better. Four of the best figures and dolls for Harry Potter fans are “Nendoroid Harry Potter,” “S.H. Figuarts Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Harry Potter,” “Q Posket Harry Potter Hermione Granger,” and “Nendoroid Doll Harry Potter Ron Weasley.”
Harry Potter (Nendoroid) Figure
Even for Nendoroids, this Harry Potter figure is exceptionally cute. Depicting Harry in his first year at Hogwarts, the figure includes iconic accessories from the story. His first broom, the sorting hat, perfectly matched with a nervous grimacing face plate, and of course, his owl, Hedwig, are included. As a wizard, Harry also has an interchangeable arm piece with his wand. Fans can even show more of their Gryffindor pride by posing Harry in his house colors scarf.

This figure from Bandai’s S.H. Figuarts line captures Harry’s appearance in the first film. The face is sculpted in the likeness of Daniel Radcliffe as he looked in The Sorcerer’s Stone. He wears his school robes with a carefully painted Gryffindor emblem on his chest. Additional carving details show in the knitted texture on the sweater collar. The articulation allows for a variety of poses, including a ball joint neck allowing fans to turn his head. Accessories include a wand, textbooks, and the Nimbus 2000. The figure can also be posed with a small Hedwig accessory, also included, that has additional parts for closed or open wings.

He enrolls in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to study magic. While Harry knows nothing of the wizarding world, he is quite famous there. On the night his parents were killed, Harry survived the murderous spell, leaving him with a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. The wizard who killed his parents, Voldemort, is believed to be gone. However, Harry and his new friends, Ron and Hermione, soon discover the Dark Lord is very much alive. Over seven years, Harry learns about his past, the trio uncovers the secrets of Voldemort and his army, and become powerful wizards protecting the fate of the world.
Harry Potter Series Development
Author J.K. Rowling began writing the first Harry Potter book in 1990 after the idea came to her on a train ride from Manchester to London. She finished the manuscript for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 1995. After a series of rejections, Bloomsbury published the book in 1997 in the UK and 1998 in the United States. The next two books in the series came out over the next two years. The series became a worldwide sensation translated into 80 languages. In 2000, the first of 8 film adaptations began production. The final book came out in July 2007, and its movie adaptation split into a two-part finale premiering in 2010 and 2011. The series inspired numerous video games, theme parks, spin-off series, and remains a cultural keystone in children’s literature.
