After attacking and killing many people on Odo Island, the incident is brought to the attention of Kyohei Yamane. The danger continues to increase more and more, with Godzilla attacking the city of Tokyo twice, causing many casualties. The story ends with two people using a weapon known as the “Oxygen Destroyer” to destroy Godzilla.
Godzilla Series Development
Godzilla first made an appearance in the 1954 film of the same name. Since then the character has become a very prominent figure of pop culture, being well-known worldwide. There are countless forms of media dedicated to Godzilla, from movies, novels, video games, comics, and many more. Godzilla is depicted as a gigantic destructive monster empowered by nuclear radiation. There is some debate about the true meaning of Godzilla. Some believe that Godzilla was created as a metaphor for the destruction of nuclear weapons. This is plausible since Japan had very recently experienced the tragedy of both the Hiroshima and the Nagasaki bombings. Godzilla’s cultural impact across the globe cannot be understated. It has been the source of inspiration for many other great forms of media, such as Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park.
