Resident Evil Series is a Japanese horror media franchise created by Shinji Mikami and Tokuro Fujiwara. The franchise is owned by the video game company Capcom and focuses on a series of games, films, comic books, novels, and more. The first video game in the series to be released, Resident Evil, was released in 1996. The story of Resident Evil follows the outbreak of a zombie apocalypse created by the Umbrella Corporation. This release quickly gained a lot of popularity, becoming a huge influence in the horror video game genre. Since then, the Resident Evil games have been immensely popular, selling over 103 million units worldwide as of June 2020. Resident Evil Leon S. Kennedy ArtFX Vendetta Figure

This 1/6 scale figure of Leon S. Kennedy shows him with his eyes pointed down the sights of a handgun. Standing at approximately 11” tall, this pose shows that he is surely ready to fire away. Leon’s expression is true to the original, with his hair sculpted to look almost real. This figure comes pre-painted with an included stand, so there is no setup required before he is ready for display. The painting of this piece is very well done, showing the sharp detail of his clothing as well as his facial hair. The fabric of all of his clothes looks true to form, from the denim of his jeans to the leather of his jacket. The stand also has its share of detail, with the blood-spattered behind him and the bullets scattered at his feet.

Resident Evil Chris Redfield Nendoroid

This Nendoroid figure of Chris Redfield adds a dash of cute to the traditionally rugged and masculine character. He comes with a variety of accessories as well, including a knife, a handgun, and a rocket launcher. The rocket launcher also includes some special firing effect parts that can be attached and removed for more posing variety. There are two different face plates available for this figure. Resident Evil Series Story

The story of Resident Evil centers around several individuals who are fighting against Umbrella Corporation. The Umbrella Corporation works to create a bio-weapon called the Tyrant, but in the process, they create a deadly disease known as the T-virus. The T-virus causes mutations, ultimately turning people into zombies. The story continues with the spread of the T-virus outbreak that spreads into Raccoon City. The virus continues to spread throughout the world and new mutations are created by Umbrella Corporation, and the characters fight to stop them.

Resident Evil Series Development

Resident Evil, known as Biohazard in Japan, is a very popular horror franchise that was created in Japan. It was created by both Shinjii Mikami and Tokuro Fujiwara, and the franchise itself is owned by Capcom. The first release of the series was a video game Resident Evil, which was released for the Playstation in 1996. Since then several different forms of media for this franchise have been released. Video games, live-action films, animated films, comic books, novels, and more have been released for this series. The early releases of this franchise are credited for defining the survival horror genre of gaming as a whole. Third-person games have also been influenced by this series, with the “over-the-shoulder” view becoming a key feature of games in the genre. Fans have absolutely loved the series. So much so that Resident Evil is Capcom’s best-selling video game franchise by a large margin.
