Thor - Action Figures

Thor is a superhero that appears within the Marvel Comic and film series on many occasions. He is based upon the Norse god of the same name and wields an enchanted hammer, Mjolnir. He can fly with his hammer as well as manipulate the weather. Thor is the god of thunder in the magical land of Asgard. In the American film Thor (2011), Thor is banished from Asgard and sent to Earth and stripped of his powers. He spends his time on Earth working to prove his worth. Eventually, Thor can open a portal to Asgard and reclaim his throne. Thor also at some point becomes a founder of the Avengers along with Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, and others. Loki Thor: Ragnarok Figure

This figure of Loki in the film Thor: Ragnarok is absolutely stunning. At 1/10 the original scale, this figure stands at approximately 9.8” tall and not a single ounce of detail has escaped it. Thor: Ragnarok Nendoroid Figure

This Nendoroid figure of Thor features him from the hit film Thor: Ragnarok. He stands at approximately 3.9” tall and has all of the bells and whistles that fans could ask for. There are four different face plates for this figure. They include a serious expression, a shouting expression, an expression with white eyes, and an eye patch face plate. Thor Series Story

Thor’s first story within the Marvel Comics series begins with him being incarnated on Earth by his father to be taught humility. He is incarnated as a partially disabled medical student named Donald Blake. After becoming a doctor, Blake goes on vacation to Norway and ends up fleeing an alien scouting party. As he’s running away he stumbles across a cave and discovers Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, disguised as a walking stick. After striking it against a rock he transforms back into Thor, dispelling his father Odin’s enchantment.

Thor Series Development

Thor’s first appearance ever occurred in the Journey into Mystery comic published by Marvel Comics in 1962. He was created by Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, and Larry Lieber. Since his creation, he has starred in several different comic series as well as films. His first live-action portrayal was in 1888 by Eric Allan Kramer in The Incredible Hulk Returns. Since then Thor has been the subject of many different forms of media, from video games, comics, movies, and much more. The popularity of this character certainly can’t be overstated. In 2011, Thor placed 14th on IGN’s list of “Top 100 Comic Book Heroes of All Time”. In 2012, he placed first in their list of “The Top 50 Avengers”.
