The Pearlbaton triplets are vice-captains in the Demi-Human mercenary group Iron Fangs which belongs to Anastasia Hoshin. Mimi is the eldest followed by Hetaro, and then Tivey. All three of them look alike with blue eyes and orange hair, orange cat ears, and orange tails. Mimi keeps her hair long and tied on either side of her face while her brothers keep theirs at medium length. All of them tend to wear the same uniform of hooded white robes with orange trim that is worn by Iron Fangs but Tivey sports an extra monocle.

Personality

Mimi is brash and energetic, matching their captain Ricardo Welkins' personality. She is a little childish and gives off an impression of innocence though she is not as dense as she first appears to be and can be shrewdly insightful despite her outward appearance. According to the author, she is the strongest of the trio.
In comparison to Mimi, Hetaro has a much more cautious personality and is receptive to mood changes in other people. Due to Ricardo's approach to leadership and Mimi's general outlook Hetaro grew to be the calm one who issues orders and keeps the Iron Fangs on track during combat scenarios. He is also very deferential to Mimi. According to the author, he is the wisest of the trio.
Tivey is a lot more straight laced than his siblings and often acts as the straight man in the dynamic. While Mimi and Hetaro both enjoys the outdoors, he prefers staying indoors and reading. He is the clerical backbone of the Iron Fangs and Anastasia has offered him a permanent role in the Hoshin Trading Company (though he refuses and chooses to stay with the mercenary group). According to the author, he is the smartest of the trio.

History

The triplets were abandoned by their parents and taken in by Ricardo and have lived with the Iron Fangs since. As such Mimi lovingly refers to Ricardo as their father. She first appears in the story alongside Anastasia, lowering Subaru's guard while simultaneously acting as her bodyguard. Later, Mimi and Hetaro partake in the battle against the White Whale and use their superior agility on their liger mounts to provide artillery support. After that, Hetaro returns to the capital to rest and is replaced by Tivey (potentially preserving Mimi's stamina using their Divine Protection) as the Iron Fangs continue their campaign into the Mathers territory to face off against the Witch Cult.

Relationships

Mimi, Hetaro, and Tivey Pearlbaton - The triplets get along very well as siblings despite their disparate personalities and tendencies.
Ricardo Welkin - Ricardo acts as a father figure to all three siblings after effectively adopting them. He cares deeply for all of them and even went so far as to disobey orders to look for her when Mimi went missing. Mimi refers to Ricardo as their father.
Anastasia Hoshin - Anastasia often relies on the expertise of the triplets. Their unassuming looks combined with their fighting capability make them ideal agents in a multitude of scenarios from social to combat. In addition, Anastasia has sought to bring Tivey into the payroll of the Hoshin Trading Company full time for his clerical skills though he has declined and chooses to stay attached to the Iron Fangs.
Garfiel Tinsel - Mimi developed a crush on Garfiel and he rescued her when she was kidnapped and injured.

Abilities

Divine Protection of Trisection - Mimi, Hetaro, and Tivey is able to share physical and emotional burdens among themselves. This ability allows them to split damage between them and allows them to potentially survive fatal blows. Mimi's inherent strength means that her brothers often take her burdens to keep her in the fight longer.
Resonance Wave - The Pearlbaton siblings are able to unleash a destructive and violent blast of mana from their mouths together. This has to be done with two of them at a time (in conjunction with their Divine Protection). They have limits on how many times they can use it per day with Mimi capable of up to five blasts and Hetaro and Tivey being limited to two each. Thus, the maximum times they can use this ability per day is four times. They learned this ability from its creator, Ricardo.
Magic Users - Mimi, Hetaro, and Tivey are all magic and each possess a different affinity. Mimi is attuned to Earth, Hetaro to Water, and Tivey to Fire.

In addition to their abilities, Mimi wields a large wooden staff, Hetaro a thin wooden wand, and Tivey a golden rod topped with a large blue crystal which they use in combat.
