Maplestory

In 2017, Nexon’s Maplestory MMO hosted a Re:Zero event that ran from May 11 to June 7. During this event, the player was able to interact with some of the main characters of Re:Zero, and they were able to receive quests from Emilia. These were unique to the game, as if the player died while undertaking the quests, they would be set all the way back to the first quest, with a character buff to help them return back to where they failed.

The event rewarded players with a variety of helpful items like materials for crafting, as well as event-exclusive character titles that could be displayed next to player’s names.

Maplestory M

In 2019 the mobile version of Nexon’s Maplestory MMO, Maplestory M, ran a Re:Zero event from November 19 through to December 2. During this event, players could earn rewards by completing quests given from Re:Zero characters. Some of these rewards include: an exclusive ‘Puck’s Hat’ cosmetic item, special character titles, and character buff items.

Phantasy Star Online 2

In April 2018, Phantasy Star Online 2 hosted a Re:Zero event. In this event, players were able to obtain character outfits for Rem, Ram, Felix Argyle, Emilia, and Natsuki Subaru. Players were also able to obtain special cosmetic items, such as a weapon skin resembling Rem’s flail, and an accessory that looked like Puck.

BanG Dream!

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!, a rhythm game published by Bushiroad, held a special Re:Zero event in November 2019. This event added two songs from the Re:Zero series as playable levels: Paradisus-Paradoxum, and Stay Alive. The event also adds an extra difficulty map to Redo, a song which was already available in the game prior to this event.

Some characters in the game also received new cards in which they wear outfits resembling Re:Zero characters as a part of this event, with Minato Yukina as Emilia, Hikawa Sayo and Shirokane Rinko as Ram/Rem, Udagawa Ako as Beatrice, and Imai Lisa as Felt.

Dungeon Fighter Online

Dungeon Fighter Online is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up game released by Neople in 2005. In September 2019, they began a Re:Zero event which lasted until early October. In this event, players could receive rewards by completing two dungeons of their character’s level per day, with each day offering different accumulated awards.

On the tenth day, the player would receive a summonable Ram, on the 20th day they would receive a summonable Rem, and on the 28th day the player would receive a special item that allowed them to view a cutscene of their choice featuring either Emilia, Rem, Ram, or Beatrice.

During this event, players could also interact with Emilia, and could earn exclusive rewards by increasing her likability towards the player. Likeability could be increased by purchasing foods liked by Emilia from Rem, who would appear in dungeons during the event period. Upon filling Emilia’s likeability to 100%, players would receive the ‘Emilia’s Love’ title.

Shadowverse

In June 2019, Cygames announced that a Re:Zero event would be coming to their online trading card game, Shadowverse. In this event, players could purchase leader sets for three Re:Zero characters. These sets would include the leader, as well as special card sleeves, flairs, and an emblem.

The characters that were available as leaders were Emilia as a Forestcraft leader, Rem as a Bloodcraft leader, and Ram as a Swordcraft leader. These leader sets were also available to be purchased all together in a bundle. The event also included three new cards with art featuring Re:Zero characters: King’s Welcome (Ram), Entrancing Blow (Rem), and Harvest Season (Emilia).

Mabinogi

In August 2018, Nexon announced that a Re:Zero event would be held in their MMO, Mabinogi. During this event, players could visit Subaru to receive daily quests, which would require the player to deliver certain items to either Rem or Ram. After completing these missions, the player would be rewarded with a Reward Pouch which contained a Metia that would allow them to participate in the event exclusive weekly missions, which changed every week of the event. Completing these quests multiple times would reward the player with special Re:Zero cosmetic gear, such as the Subaru outfit and the Emilia Camp title.
