Isekai Quartet

An anime chibi-style crossover series between the Kadokawa-released light novel series Kono subarashii sekai ni shukufuku wo, Overlord, Re:Zero kara hajimeru isekai seikatsu, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil. The second season also introduced The Rising of the Shield Hero.

Plot

A magic button appears out of nowhere for the protagonists of KonoSuba, Overlord, ReZero, and Tanya the Evil. They all press it and are transferred into a parallel world where they live through the experiences of high school.

Season 1

After the Committee draws, Beatrice blames Roswaal tampering with the draw results. Kazuma is sad to be in school again as Demiurge and Tanya bully him with magic. Tanya and Demiurge get into the role. The Gym Committee is outside, and Darkness loses herself in her usual fantasies to the confusion of the others who do not know her well enough yet.

Emilia is tired and in bed, glad that everyone is so unique and does not judge her. In the morning, Subaru, Rem, and Beatrice exchange experiences about their new roles. Megumin and Grantz fight over the intercom. Subaru meets Emilia, Ainz, and Albedo; Emilia shares that they were trying to think of ways to aid everyone getting along. Ainz notices a flame burning in Subaru's chest and tries to investigate. Ainz and Subaru have a good laugh over this. Roswaal comes in and proclaims a field trip at the beach.

Ainz offers to do joint activities, but Aqua is prejudiced to Ainz still, so Emilia tells her it was her idea. The class discusses it. Afterwards Tanya and Viktoriya go to buy swimsuits and find Albedo and Shalltear wishing Ainz would wear certain male swimsuits. Kazuma and Aqua come across the Floor Guardians, causing a strained situation, but Kazuma reminds them to get along, and they follow Emilia's words. Kazuma finds out Albedo was a succubus. A needle match ensues between the girls.

At the beach, Kazuma spies on the girls, and the 203rd Aerial Mage Battalion men stare at Darkness doing push-ups. Viktoria asks Subaru's name and Ram calls him Barusu. Kazuma gets punished by Tanya and Demiurge for shirking his duty. Shalltear is envious of Rem's breast. After dark, there is a test of courage where Subaru, Tanya, Ainz, and Aqua are in the same team. Aqua confirms if they are from the Earth and reveals she was the goddess who transferred Kazuma. Tanya is sure Aqua is Being X and casts magic at her. Subaru and Ainz point out that Aqua and Being X's personalities are different. Then the others arrive, investigating the magical discharge.

Roswaal says a field day is soon where the winners might be returned to their own worlds. Subaru asks who they would be competing with, and Roswaal reveals that they are Class 2 because there is Class 1 with other people from their worlds. That sparks discussions. Kazuma, Aqua, and Darkness learn Chris is in Class 1. Chris warns that a death in this world would be permanent. Subaru checks if his silencing curse is still there, and it somehow is. His ability to attract magical beasts brings Hamsuke and Death Knight to him. Later, everyone agrees to try their best to return, and because Kazuma is being too lazy to, Tanya decides to motivate him by having him run away from Puck's magic attacks.

On the field day, Yunyun (the only student of Class 3) appears. The classes clash, and Reinhard's abilities net Class 1 (Chris, Felt, Julius, and him) ten extra points. The last game (a "cavalry battle") is worth 100M points, so nobody is sure why the other games. Suddenly, the teachers team joins the fray with Erich, Roswaal, Pandora's Actor, and Vanir. The students team up to match the teachers. Principal Kurt decides to even out the chances and adds Destroyer from KonoSuba to the teachers team.

Destroyer has a large headband and is thus a valid player. Kazuma fails to Steal that and the teachers' headbands, and Subaru remarks small-time magic does not work on bosses. After a struggle, Tanya takes Destroyer's headband, winning for Class 2. Nobody returns however, and Roswaal defends by reminding he said "might". Still, the students find their new life amusing anyway. Roswaal declares the new team joining in, the door opens, but the final episode of Season 1 ends before we can see them.
