This saw her go to Toho Gakuen's TOKYO ANNOUNCE GAKUEN performing arts college where she would undergo training for a number of years. Upon completion, she was picked up into the Yurin Pro voice acting and entertainment group. She made her initial voice debut with a live-action dub of Nickelodean's 2001 series Caitlin's Way as the main character Caitlin played by Lindsey Felton. Satomi would continue on numerous dubbing roles for a few years voicing in a lot of notable imported children's movies and some more mature content. In around 2005, she became a more prominent actor on anime content, going from a handful of roles in the past too many times more in the single year, appearing in shows such as Hamtaro, Pokemon Advanced and Viewtiful Joe. In 2010, Satomi took announced on her personal blog that she would be taking a break from work, while reasoning was unknown at the time, Satomi was well married to fellow voice actor Yoshimitsu Shimoyama of two years, and was expecting a child. This information was kept private until she publicly wrote it on a blog post in 2012, however it was not known about the identity of her husband until 2016. This post came a number of months after Satomi announced that she would also part ways with Yurin Pro, and opting to work as a freelance voice actor for the foreseeable future, citing her growth as a professional voice actor, and perhaps giving her more time to focus on raising her newborn. It was in early 2016 where she would once again work under a company name, however it was one that she set up herself, and is still the only affiliated talent with the company.
