OtapediaRe:Zero Infinity

Re:Zero -INFINITY- is a mobile game developed by Tianjin Tianxiang Interactive Technology Co and published by Black Tea Rabbit Studio. The game was released in January 2020, and is currently only available in Asia.

The game was well received, with a collective user rating being 8.5/10 on the Tap app store. A majority of the positive reviews compliment the game’s character visuals, as well as the game’s turn based battle system.

The game’s story follows the story of the first three arcs of the series, with some parts being adapted to better fit the format of the game. The game delivers most of its story through visual novel-esque dialogue sections before and after battles. These dialogue sections include voice acting, with many of the original voice actors from the anime voicing their respective characters in this game, including Kobayashi Yuusuke as Natsuki Subaru, Takahashi Rie as Emilia, and Minase Inori as Rem.

Gameplay (Out of combat)

The game features a gacha-based party building system, where you spend in-game currency to obtain a random card from a set list of characters. Each card has a rarity, measured in stars, with 5 stars being the highest. Some cards are characters that can be used in battle. These characters can then be added to your active party, which are the characters you use in battle, or they can be used to upgrade other characters you own.

The game allows you to interact with some characters that you have obtained. This interaction includes character scenes in the character converses with the player, giving information about their backstories, some of which is not included in the original series. The characters this is limited to are: Emilia, Rem, Roswaal L Mathers, Felt, Reinhard Van Astrea, Young Rem, Young Ram, Crusch Karsten, Felix Argyle, Anastasia Hoshin, Julius Juukulius, Priscilla Barielle, and Petelguese Romanee-Conti.

Gameplay (In combat)

The game uses a turn-based combat system, where you can have three active party members in combat at a time. Each character has three normal moves and one ultimate move. Characters use action points to perform stronger attacks. Action points are earned automatically when the enemy's turn ends, as well as whenever a character uses a normal attack. Each character also has a power meter that increases whenever that character deals damage or takes damage. This meter can be filled up to 200%, and allows the character to perform their ultimate move, accompanied by a cinematic.

The game also uses an elemental weakness system in combat, where characters can either be fire, water, wind, earth, light, dark, or none. Fire is strong against wind, wind is strong against earth, earth is strong against water, and water is strong against fire. Light and dark are mutually weak to each other.
