Chinatsu Akasaki is a professional voice actress for 81 Produce. She was cast to play Felt in the anime series Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World.

Chinatsu was born in the Kagoshima prefecture of Japan in the year 1987. It wasn't until late into Elementary school when she decided that she wanted to be a voice actor, but had a few setbacks due to the lack of performance clubs as she went into secondary education. She would instead join a troupe known as Ibuki to get some skills while studying at high school. Chinatsu attended the Tokyo Gakugei University where she studied Drama and Italian. During 2008, Chinatsu was awarded three different awards at the Voice Newtype Summer Audition where it is rumoured that she performed the folk song Chawanmushi no Uta, a traditional Japanese folk song and famous within her home prefecture Kagoshima. Being awarded the Culture Broadcasting award, the Alchemist Award and the 81 Produce Award, and due to this, she was given the opportunity to enrol into 81 Produce's acting classes at 81Actor's Studio. After a year of study at the actors studio, she graduated from her training in October 2019, with her being officially recognised as a member of 81 Produce by April 2010. Debuting later that year, her first appearance was as Girl C in an episode of the the anime series Metal Fight Beyblade (otherwise known as Beyblade: Metal Fusion internationally), and was cast into serveral background or supporting characters for another two years, before landing her first leading cast as Yasuna Oribe in Kill Me Baby.

Notable Appearances

Since starting work 2010, Chinatsu has been cast as numerous leading and well recognized characters. She has appeared not only in animated series, but drama CDs, Radio Shows, Games, and other broadcasted media.

  • Bodacious Space Pirates: Maki Harada
    Maki, or known by her nickname Haramaki is a relatively new member of the Hakuoh Acadaemy Space Yacht Club and is a prominent character throughout the series several story arcs. While being trained with the systems of some of the different ships in the world, it is her unrestrained curiosity that can lead the club members into any arrangement of troubles.
  • The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls: Akane Hino
    Originally debuted in the 2011 release of the mobile game, Akane was an idol character that was in an unnamed production studio, however in the anime adaption of the game, she is credited to the 346 Production agency. During the course of the franchise, she only ranked once during the game's anniversay elections, coming in at number five, and has not been able to obtain a rank since, showing a decline in her popularity. Akane as also released 8 different solo music songs and 10 group works with other idols.

  • Accel World: Infinite Burst: Risa Tsukiori
    Risa is the protagonist of the feature film, while the film also has a considerable time spent on recapping the story arc covered in the anime series, the movie also has an original story featuring Risa as a new character. As a burst linker, she would engage in the Unlimited Neutral Field, but after a gym accident resulting in being unable to succeed in the National Gymnastics Tournament. She would take her frustration and sadness of her accident while connected to the Unlimited Neutral Field, causing the goddess Nyx to awaken.

  • Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online: Shinohara Miyu
    Known by her handle Fukaziroh in GGO and ALFhiem Online, Shinohara is a childhood friend of the series main character Kohiruimaki Karen. It is through her guidance that she assists Karen in trying out VRMMO titles. In the second squad jam event, Karen teamed up with Shinohara to form team LF by transferring her character to Gun Gale Online. Instead of using a typical firearm, she uses dual grenade launchers for combat, with an automatic pistol sidearm in tow.
