Felix Argyle, also known as Ferris, is Crusch Karsten’s personal knight and a member of the Lugnica Royal Guard. He has light brown hair and amber coloured eyes. He has large cat ears on his head, as well as a cat-like tail, as a result of his demi-human ancestry.
He typically wears a blue collar, a blue and white dress, black tights with blue leggings, blue shoes, white arm covers, a blue scarf tied around his right arm, as well as blue and white ribbons in his har, which were given to him by Crusch.
He is also seen wearing the Lugnica Royal guard uniform; a black shirt and white pants, black shoes with red soles, a white coat with red sleeves and red trim, as well as a collared white cape with black and red accents. He keeps the ribbons in his hair regardless of what else he’s wearing.
Personality
Felix typically refers to himself in the third person, referring to himself as as Ferri-chan, although in some situations he uses Ferris, Felix, or female pronouns. He enjoys teasing others, using cutesy language and making cute gestures towards people who are surprised that he is male.
Felix is very serious about death due to his job as a healer, causing him to deeply hate people who do not have any will to live, as well as people who are not strong enough to protect others, which caused him to hate Subaru upon first meeting him. His feelings towards Subaru changed after seeing him fight against the Hakugei.
History
As a child, Felix was abused by his parents due to his demi-human appearance. He was locked in the basement of his family’s mansion for the first nine years of his life and was barely kept alive by his family. He was taken to the Karsten mansion after being saved by Crusch and was cared for by the Karsten family.
Relationships
Crusch Karsten - Felix has been close friends with Crusch since childhood, when she saved him from his abusive parents. Felix is very loyal to Crusch and will almost always follow her orders. He cares deeply for Crusch, becoming very concerned regarding her condition after she was infected by Capella’s black dragon blood. He even goes so far as to demand to see the imprisoned Sirius, so that he could torture her for the knowledge of how to cure Crusch. He is constantly grateful to Crusch for saving him from his parents. Crusch sees Felix as her closest friend, telling him “You are truly the one who knows my heart best”.
Felix is hinted to be romantically interested in Crusch, as evidenced by his jealousy towards Subaru when Crusch and Subaru had dinner together the same way she would with Felix.
Fourier Lugnica - Felix and Fourier were close friends prior to the latter’s death to disease. Fourier was the one who helped Felix get into the Lugnica Royal Guard. Felix also acted as Fourier’s fiance in order to get him out of an arranged marriage that he did not want to be a part of. Felix feels guilty for Fourier’s death, as his healing magic was not strong enough to save Fourier.
Galic Fabless - Galic was Felix’s magic teacher and the former holder of Felix’s current position as Lugnica’s strongest water magic user.
Subaru Natsuki - Felix initially hated Subaru upon first meeting him, due to his belief that Subaru was weak. His feelings towards Subaru changed after seeing him fight against the Hakugei. Felix was saddened by having to kill Subaru when Subaru was possessed by Petelgeuse.
Abilities
Divine Protection of Water - Felix’s Divine Protection makes him highly skilled at water element magic.
Water Magic - Felix is considered to be the most skilled water magic user in Lugnica, earning him the title of Blue. He is the youngest person to have ever earned this title. He can direct mana into other people’s bodies, allowing him to control people like puppets. He can also use this ability to destroy people’s gates from the inside, stopping them from using magic. Felix is also very skilled in healing magic.
Immortal King’s Sacrament - Felix can resurrect people from the dead. If the spell is done incorrectly, the person is not properly revived and is more like a zombie.
Pseudo-Immortality - Felix’s body is able to undergo rapid cellular regeneration thanks to his strong connection with water mana. This allows him to survive wounds that would typically be fatal, as long as he is not killed instantly. This ability weakens his ability to fight after it is used.
