Daphne - Re:Zero

Daphne is the Witch of Gluttony. She is a short girl with a small build, gold eyes, and grey hair tied into two shoulder length ponytails on either side of her head. She tends to be kept blindfolded, wears a white body suit and is constantly physically restrained. Over her bodysuit is a series of black restraints that bind her arms and feet to the coffin that she is perpetually in. The coffin itself has two sets of lids that reveal her face and the rest of her body. Daphne has a fairly straightforward personality, shows little emotion, and doesn't care for much other than things that immediately pertain to her perpetual hunger.
History
Daphne lived over 400 years ago before the events involving the Witch of Envy. An unnamed man was afflicted with a disease. Fearing death, he began experimenting with various methods to prolong his life. He finally succeeded when he used Daphne's body in his experiment. In celebration, he undid some of her binds which brought her back to consciousness. As she came to her senses, she was alone in the man's abandoned castle and also terribly hungry.
Consumed by that hunger, she began eating. Daphne ate everything she could get including the throne and the carpets. Even when she threw up, she would simply eat what was regurgitated and continue. She constantly felt like she was on the verge of dying from hunger even though she was actually immortal. Eventually in an attempt to satiate her unending hunger she created Demon Beasts. At the time she thought they were illusions, but she still used them as a good source. The constant clashes between her and her creations broke the remains of her bonds which finally left her free to leave the castle. As she left so too did the Demon Beasts who then spread across the world.
The details on Daphne's movements and whereabouts from then on are vague, but at some point Echidna the Witch of Greed collects her soul and she is killed and consumed by Satella the Witch of Envy. Using Daphne's soul, Echidna is able to manifest the Witch of Gluttony whenever she wants. During the events of Arc 4, Subaru demands to meet with Daphne after being killed by the Great Rabbits. They argue for a bit which caused Daphne used the single eye that had been freed to force her own extreme hunger onto him. He recovers thanks to Minerva's help and then declared that he would get rid of the Great Rabbits.
Towards the end of the events of the Arc as Echidna transplants her soul into the body of Lewes Meyer, Daphne's soul remains with Echidna. It is later placed (along with the other Witch's souls) into a pyroxene crystal. Echidna has shown that she can still call upon the souls of the Witches of Sin even in her new body (that she calls Omega).
Relationships
Demon Beasts - All of the Demon Beasts of the world were originally created by Daphne to sate her own hunger. She feels no remorse for those who have lost their lives to the Demon Beasts stating that those who eat others should be prepared to be eaten in return. Due to their origins, Demon Beasts (including the Three Great Demon Beasts to an extent) can be controlled by those who inherited her Authority of Gluttony.
Witches of Sin - Despite her mostly nonchalant attitude, she has given nicknames to the Witches of Sin such as Dna Dna (pronounced 'Dona Dona') to Echidna, Met Met to Sekhmet, Ner Ner to Minerva, Mila Mila to Carmilla, and Tyu Tyu to Typhon.
Echidna - Echidna the Witch of Greed currently possesses Daphne's soul. Even now as Omega travels the Kingdom of Lugnica, she can still materialize the Witches of Sin.
Natsuki Subaru - Daphne only met Subaru briefly in Echidna's domain, but argued about the Demon Beasts. She nicknamed him Subarun.
Abilities
Authority of Gluttony - Daphne as the Witch of Gluttony is capable of using the Authority of Gluttony. It is not entirely clear the extent of her powers with this Authority, but she has shown the ability to cause extreme hunger in others via a touch or look. Subaru was affected just by her left eye and was driven to such desparation that he ate his left arm and ignored any thoughts other than his hunger. Echidna has noted that despite this display her right eye is even more terrifying.
