List of Characters - Attack on Titan
The Attack on Titan franchise created, written and illustrated by [Hajime Isayama] has given birth to an extensive number of popular characters. Here is a list of some significant and important characters from the Attack on Titan story with a brief introduction to each character.
Eren Jaeger
Eren Jaeger is the main protagonist of the Attack on Titan story. Sometimes he can be impulsive and is very brave, although he is not strong enough. He can transform into the Attack Titan.
Mikasa Ackerman
Mikasa Ackerman is one of the strongest characters of the 104th Training Corps and, later, of the [Survey Corps]. As a child, she did not have the courage to kill anyone, but during the story she becomes one of the strongest fighters against the Titans. She is one of the main characters of the story and Eren’s adopted sister.
Armin Arlert
Armin Arlert is Eren and Mikasa’s best friend. Joining the Survey Corps with Eren and Mikasa, he is considered not for his strength but someone who can elaborate good plans and strategies that have served to save his fellow corp members several times. He is also a person who does not give up easily. Eren and Mikasa used to protect him as a child.
Levi Ackerman
Levi Ackerman has earned a lot of love among his fans. He is obsessed with cleanliness and is the squad leader. He is considered the strongest soldier of the Survey Corps and a protector of humanity. He is seen sometimes cold as he does not express his emotions easily.
Krista Lenz
Krista Lenz is a very short girl who managed to graduate as the tenth best soldier in the 104th Training Corps. During the story she decides to assume her true identity as Historia Riess and a righteous Queen, and through the revolution of the Survey Corps against the royal government, she is able to ascend to the throne. She is very kind and very close to Ymir.
Hange Zoë
Hange Zoë is the Commander of the Survey Corps and a leader in the research of the Titan race. Her personality is friendly and cheerful, and she loves her work, especially doing experiments with Titans.
Sasha Blouse
Sasha Blouse belongs to the Survey Corps and was previously nicknamed “Potato Girl”. She is good at cooking and loves eating. As for her personality, she is sociable and cheerful.
Erwin Smith
Erwin Smith is the thirteenth Commander of the Survey Corps. Intelligent, respected, Erwin is a capable man, who, like Levi, takes care of his men and does not hesitate to sacrifice himself for the future of humanity. He developed long-distance training for enemy detection, a strategy that greatly benefited the Survey Corps, as it provided 30% more chance that soldiers would not die.
Jean Kirstein
Jean Kirstein belongs to the Survey Corps, since Marco Bott, before dying, drove him to do it instead of joining the [Military Police Brigade]. He is sincere but sometimes a bit aggressive and also a competitive boy.
Connie Springer
Connie Springer currently belongs to the Survey Corps, and he gets along well with Sasha Blouse. He is optimistic and is a person who is always willing to help.
Ymir
*Ymir Fritz is a selfish, pessimistic, tough and arrogant girl, but deep down she is a noble and kind person, especially with Krista Lenz. In the Attack on Titan manga, it was confirmed that she is actually over 60 years old and has feelings for Krista. She can transform into the Jaw Titan.
Annie Leonhart
Annie Leonhart was a recruit from the 104th Training Corps, fourth in the top 10 of her group. She is a former member of the Military Police. She can transform into the Female Titan and her personality is cold, calm and lonely.
Reiner Braun
Reiner Braun is Bertolt Hoover’s best friend. He is serious and supportive. He is a graduate of the 104th Training Corps, second in the top 10 and a former member of the Survey Corps. He can transform into the Armored Titan.
Bertolt Hoover
Bertolt Hoover graduated from the 104th Training Corps, third in the top 10 and a former member of the Survey Corps. He is also shy, calm and does not have much self-esteem. He is tall and his best friend is Reiner Braun. He can transform into the Colossal Titan.
Zeke Jaeger
Zeke Jaeger is a War Chief of the Eldian warriors who serve the Marley government with the purpose of taking the Coordinate power back and eliminating the Eldians who inhabit the walls. Son of Grisha Jaeger and Dina Fritz, and Eren’s half-older brother, Zeke is one of the last descendants of the Fritz royal family. He also has the ability to transform into the Beast Titan.
Grisha Jaeger
Grisha Jaeger is the father of Eren Jaeger and Zeke Jaeger. He was an Eldian doctor, born in the Liberian Internment Zone in Marley, and a member of the Eldia Restorators. Grisha was also a shifting Titan.
Carla Jaeger
Carla Jaeger is the mother of Eren Jaeger, adoptive mother of Mikasa and wife of Dr. Grisha Jaeger. Carla is killed by a Titan during the attack on Shiganshina District in 845.
Rod Reiss
Rod Reiss was the biological father of Historia Reiss and the true king. He was a man with the greatest influence and political power within the Walls. His goal was to regain the power of the Reiss family stolen by Grisha Jaeger, which was transferred to Eren.
Kenny Ackermann
Kenny Ackermann is the Uncle and mentor of Levi Ackermann. He was a member of the Central Division of the Military Police and also the captain of the Anti-Human Suppression Squad. In the past he was an infamous murderer who killed more than one hundred members of the Military Police, becoming known as Kenny the Ripper.
