Team highlights of the 90s included Hall of Famers Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Coach Phil Jackson. The Bulls are the only NBA franchise to win multiple Championships without losing an NBA Finals title.

Pippen was drafted to the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1987 NBA fifth-round draft. However, he was traded to the Chicago Bulls before starting his career. Scottie Pippen Background: Career Highlights

Pippen started his basketball career in the Bull’s 1987 season-opening game against the Philadelphia 76ers. During his first few years with the Bulls, Pippen practiced one-on-one with his teammate and mentor, Michael Jordan. By 1988, Pippen claimed the starting small forward position and he had his first NBA All-Star appearance in 1990. Pippen emerged as the main component of the Bulls' triangle offense in 1991, the beginning of their first Championship title winning streak. Pippen played on the 1992 Olympic Men's Basketball team, dubbed the "Dream Team." In his Olympic performance, Pippen finished as the team's assist leader.

After Jordan left the Bulls in the 1993-1994 season, Pippen emerged as the team's leader in scoring, assists, and blocks. In 1994, Pippen earned his only All-Star MVP honors and his first of three NBA All-Star First Team selections. Jordan's return to the Bulls and the addition of forward Dennis Rodman in 1995 signaled the beginning of the team's second "three-peat." In 1996, Pippen became the first person to win both an NBA Championship title and Olympic Gold Medal in the same year. Pippen left the Bulls after the 1998 season and joined the Houston Rockets for one year. He finished his career after a four-year stint with the Portland Trailblazers and a final year with the Bulls.

On December 9, 2005, the Bulls retired Pippen's jersey number, 33. After a brief return to basketball playing in the European league, Pippen officially retired from the sport. He served as the Bulls ambassador from July 2010 until April 2020.
