In recent years, the BE@BRICK line of figures produced by Medicom Toy has gone on to collaborate with a wide variety of artists, companies, and organizations from all over the world. Global sports fans will be happy to know that Futbol Club Barcelona was one of the first major sports BE@RBRICK collaborations. Although this collaboration has produced several BE@RBRICK figures, two of the most recent releases include the “BE@RBRICK FC Barcelona 100% & 400%” and respective 1000% figure.
Futbol Club Barcelona x BE@RBRICK Collaboration Background
The collaboration between Futbol Club Barcelona and BE@RBRICK began in December 2006 with the release of the “FCB 06 BE@RBRICK” and “FCB 05-06 Champion ver. BE@RBRICK” figures. As of early 2021, this collaborative effort produced four unique figures that came in various sizes.
Collaboration Planning and Launch
The first figures created through this collaboration between FCB and BE@RBRICK were released in December 2006, though an announcement detailing their release was made public at least a month prior. After the first pair of figures were released, two other figures would also be made in later years. The most recent release through this collaboration is the BE@RBRICK FC Barcelona, which came in BE@RBRICK’s standardized 100%, 400%, and 1000% sizes.
BE@RBRICK FC Barcelona 100% & 400%
This particular BE@RBRICK figure takes the classic shape of the BE@RBRICK line and adds the official 2018 Futbol Club Barcelona uniform onto it. This uniform consists of a blue shirt with red stripes and the iconic FCB crest found on the chest. The back of this shirt also has a pair of matching shorts and contrasting orange and green shoes complete the figure, making it look like this bear is about to walk out into a match. That said, this bear’s fur is completely transparent, further emphasizing the unique design of the FCB uniform. Any dedicated BE@RBRICK collector or FCB fan will want to add this figure to their collection. This particular set also comes in two different sizes: 100% and 400%.

BE@RBRICK FC Barcelona 1000%
Much like the previous set of figures, this 1000% BE@RBRICK figure features the 2018 Futbol Club Barcelona uniform, but this special release is over two feet tall. Aside from its gigantic height, it is almost identical to the 100% and 400% figures mentioned above.

About Futbol Club Barcelona
Futbol Club Barcelona (sometimes referred to as FCB or simply Barcelona) is a professional Spanish football team that is based in Barcelona, Spain. The FCB has a surprisingly long history that spans well over a century, as it was founded in November 1899 by a group of football athletes. The members of this group came from several countries like Switzerland, Spain, England, and Catalonia. The leader of the group, Joan Gamper, was a great athlete and became a trailblazer for football after creating multiple football clubs in several different countries.
Today, the FCB is one of the most successful and supported football teams around the world. They are one of the only football clubs that are officially owned and financed by their own supporters. Throughout the FCB’s over 120 years long history, they have earned a record-breaking number of achievements in both team and individual performance. They hold the most wins in several domestic competitions like the Copa del Rey, where they have 30 separate championships alone. Their international record is similarly impressive, where they hold the most wins in the UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. Furthermore, the FCB won the FIFA Club World Cup championship in 2009, 2011, and 2015.
Several past and present players also hold noteworthy accomplishments as well. Xavier Creus, who also goes by Xavi, was a member of the FCB from 1998 to 2015 and currently holds the club record for most appearances. Lionel Messi, a current member of the club, is ranked the top scorer with a total of 658 goals -- which is also a world record.
Related Figures
Through the collaboration between Futbol Club Barcelona and BE@RBRICK, several other figures were produced other than the 2018 version showcased previously. The original “05-06 Champion ver. BE@RBRICK” featured an older version of the FCB uniform and had a golden bear head. A second version also included the club’s away outfit as well. The “FCB Asia Tour 07 BE@RBRICK” was later released in August 2007.
