Synopsis
Set in a fictional Meji era of Japan 300 years after the Battle of Sekigahara, Tenka Hyakken: Meiji-kan e Yokoso! follows the story of more than 100 girls called “Mitsurugi” who are physical incarnations of ancient swords. All have pledged to live peaceful lives but are now returning to battle a new foe that has arisen during this time of peace. Mysterious disasters caused by ghosts and Mitsurugi have started to occur and a government owned organization called “Ohanami-shu” has been created to help put an end to the destruction and to protect Mitsurugi.
Background
Tenka Hyakken: Meiji-kan e Yokoso! is a short TV anime based on the Tenka Hyakken mixed media franchise that includes manga (serialized in Dengeki G’s Magazine), novels, and a smartphone game the revolves around over 100 girls called “Mitsurugi” who are inspired by ancient Japanese swords. The production is being handled by Liden Film and the staff includes director Daisuke Hashimoto, assistant director Kentaro Fujita, series composer Yu Sato, character designers Daisuke Hashimoto, Naoki Okada, and Ryota Azuma, and music composer Ryudai Abe. The theme song is “Kurenai, Hana wo Sakasete" (Crimson, Blooming the Flowers) and is being performed by Ohanami-shu Tsubaki-Gumi (Yuko Ono, Rie Takahashi, Haruka Chisuga, Hitomi Owada, Haruka Shiraishi).

Goo Yoshimitsu is a samurai familiar with medicine.
Nanaka (Voiced by: Haruka Shiraishi)
Nanaka is the younger sister of Yayoi and a secretary.
Kogarasumaru (Voiced by: Hitomi Ohwada)
Kogarasumaru is a messenger for the Ohanami-shu headquarters. She can communicate with birds. Though she is naive and lacks common sense, she pretends to be composed and has an old-fashioned personality. She takes charge in emergencies.
Kuwanago (Voiced by: Rie Takahashi)
Kuwanago devotes herself to others.
Joizumi Masamune (Voiced by: Yuko Ono)
Joizumi Masamune is bright, forward-thinking, and straightforward. She can’t leave someone in trouble alone.
Hocho Masamune (Voiced by: Kanako Yanagihara)
The middle of three sisters, Hocho Masamune is cheerful, naive, and sociable. Though she’s liked by everyone, she tends to act without thinking and can sometimes fall into terrible anxiety.
Horinuki Masamune (Voiced by: Yuki Harukawa)
The youngest of the three sisters, Horinuki supports the other two from behind and wants to let everyone know how great they are.
