Synopsis
The Capital Tower, a highly valuable orbital elevator that transports from space the Earth’s energy source, Photon Batteries. Young Capital Guard cadet Bellri Zenam is tasked with protecting the tower, and as his first training defends against an attack from the Pirate Corps and helps to capture a highly advanced mobile suit called the G-Self and its pilot, a girl named Aida Surugan. Aida reveals that she is one of only a few who are able to pilot the advanced MS, and Bellri is surprised to discover that for some reason he too can pilot it. The Universal Century has ended and a new adventure is set to unfold in the Regild Century.
Background
Gundam Reconguista in G the Movie: Go! Core Fighter is the first film in a series of five compilation films that will reconstruct the TV anime. Go! Core Fighter will cover episodes 1-5. Yoshiyuki Tomino is directing and writing the script, Kenichi Yoshida is designing the characters, and Yugo Kanno is creating the music. Animation production is once again being handled by Sunrise. The film will open in Japan on Nov. 29.
Characters
Bellri Zenam (Voiced by: Mark Ishii)
Bellri is a pilot cadet who attends the Capital Guard Academy. He has black hair that hangs down to the nape of his neck, which he pins to the top of his head when he wears his pilot helmet. Optimistic and brimming with curiosity, Bellri is a genius who skipped two grades. Because of this, he is harassed by other students who are jealous of him, though he brushes it off.
Aida Surugan (Voiced by: Yu Shimamura)
An MS pilot for the Pirate Corps with the rank of second lieutenant, Aida has salmon pink hair that reaches down to her mid back. She is a bit older and taller than Bellri. She is the adopted daughter of Amerian general Gusion Surugan. Her MS is the G-Arcane but she is also capable of piloting the G-Self.
Cahill Saint (Voiced by: Toshiyuki Morikawa)
Cahill is the pilot of the battleship Megafauna with the rank of captain. He has black hair and is the ace pilot of the Pirate Corps.
Luin Lee / Mask (Voiced by: Takuya Sato)
Luin Lee is an MS pilot with the Capital Army with the rank of captain. He hides her eyes under a blue visor designed to look like four eyes. He his piloted the Elf Bullock, Mack Knife, and Kabakali. He is a skilled pilot with good reflexes and evasive abilities.
Raraiya Monday / Raraiya Akuparl (Voiced by: Yukari Fukui)
Raraiya is a girl with tanned skin and aquamarine hair who fell to Earth aboard the G-Self. After being captured by the Capital Guard she is given the alias Raraiya Monday, but her real name is Raraiya Akuparl. She is very fun and childish, and has a pet goldfish named Chuchumy.
Dellensen Samatar (Voiced by: Tsuyoshi Koyama)
Dellensen is Bellri’s and Luin’s teacher at Capital Guard Academy with the rank of captain. He is a very serious man and an excellent MS pilot.
Klimton Nicchini / Klim Nick (Voiced by: Ryota Ohsaka)
Klimton, better known as Klim Nick, is the son of Ameria’s president and a genius MS pilot with the rank of first lieutenant. He serves aboard the Megafauna. He is confident, good looking, and has excellent tactical skills.
Donyell Toss (Voiced by: Shinpachi Tsuji)
Donyell is the captain of the battleship Megafauna.
Manny Ambassada (Voiced by: Ayahi Takagaki)
Manny is a member of the cheerleading squad at Saint Flower Academy and Luin’s girlfriend. She has long black hair which she cuts off to join the Capital Army in search of news on the whereabouts of Noredo, Bellri, and Luin. She reunites with Luin after being assigned to the Garanden.
Noredo Nug (Voiced by: Minako Kotobuki)
Noredo is also a member of the cheerleading squad at Saint Flower Academy along with Manny. She has pink hair and has a diamond-shaped bindi on her forehead. She is fond of Bellri and likes to spend time with him. She is caring, responsible, and kind, but likes to tease Bellri at times.
