Synopsis

One day, a city is annihilated.
A loner smuggler named Takuya, and the sole survivor of the annihilation, a girl named Yuki. Two people joined in chaos. When all seems hopeless, Yuki receives a message from her father, and the two head to the annihilated city, Lost. But obstacles block their bath, and a shocking revelation awaits Yuki. The thoughts of those left behind, a mysterious organization moving in the shadows, hidden conspiracies. They start as complete strangers, but along the way Yuki and Takuya’s bonds grow as they begin to unravel the mysteries of Lost.

Background

Shoumetsu Toshi Is a mobile game series launched by Wright Flyer Studios and GREE in May 2014. Two updated versions of the game have been released to date: Shoumetsu Toshi 2 in November 2016 and Shoumetsu Toshi 0 in November 2018. A new mobile game called Shoumetsu Toshi Drama RPG MIX is currently in production.

An anime adaptation of the game was announced in May 2018. The series is being animated by Madhouse with Shigeyuki Miya directing, Shingo Irie writing the script, and Tomoyuki Shitaya handling the character designs. The opening theme song will be “Kotae” by Mao Abe, and the ending theme song will be “With Your Breath” by the series’ female idol unit SPR5. The anime will also feature Kana Hanazawa performing as her character Yuki for the song “Swallowtail Butterfly ~Ai no Uta~.” The anime will premiere in Japan on April 7, 2019.

Characters

Yuki (Voiced by: Kana Hanazawa)

The sole survivor of the destruction that occurred three years ago. She goes to Lost together with Takuya based on a message from her father. She possesses a mysterious power.

Takuya (Voiced by: Tomokazu Sugita)

A boy her makes a living as a smuggler, Takuya firmly believes that agreements must be fulfilled. He goes everywhere by scooter.

Akira (Voiced by: Yuichi Nakamura)

An SP who protects Yuki and his family. His whereabouts have been unknown since the destruction three years ago.

Eiji (Voiced by: Tarusuke Shingaki)

Eiji requests Takuya to take Yuki to Lost. As a researcher, he is interested to learn more about Yuki’s powers. He conducted research with Yuki’s father in the past.

Geek (Voiced by: Taisuke Nishimura)

A childhood friend of Takuya’s Geek is an expert in tinkering with machines and can do everything from programming to scooter repairs. He is a huge fan of Yua from SPR5.

Yumiko (Voiced by: Mitsuki Nakae)

A detective. Yumiko used to be colleagues with Takuya, but he hasn’t stayed in contact recently.

Soma (Voiced by: Ayaka Asai)

Yuki’s younger brother. His whereabouts have been unknown since the destruction three years ago.

Suzuna (Voiced by: Ayane Sakura)

An agent of the mysterious organization. She is chasing after Yuki.

Kikyo (Voiced by: Aimi)

A researcher like Eiji.

Kota (Voiced by: Makoto Takahashi)

A detective. Like Yumiko, Takuya was a colleague of Kota’s in the past.

Homura (Voiced by: Haruka Shamoto)

The ace of SPR5, Homura can dance and sing better than anyone else in the group.

Nami (Voiced by: Emiri Iwai)

The leader of SPR5, Nami has been with the group the longest. She was a child actor before she formed SPR5. Her recent hobby is color coordinating.

Haruka (Voiced by: Hina Suguta)

A member of SPR5, Haruka often looks emotionless.

Rena (Voiced by: Aguri Onishi)

The newest member to SPR5, Rena gives it her all. Though often clumsy, she has a strong tenacity.

Yua (Voiced by: Hikari Sonoyama)

The member of SPR5 who looks most childlike, Yua can be two-faced and hard to read.

Ryoko (Voiced by: Tomoyo Kurosawa)

The daughter of a legendary detective, Ryoko is an ace detective. She meets Yuki and Takuya while investigating a certain incident.

Tsubasa (Voiced by: Nobunaga Shimazaki)

Yoshiaki’s older brother, Tsubasa vanished from his brother’s side without saying a word. He is the founder of the mysterious organization and has lofty ambitions as its leader.

Yoshiaki (Voiced by: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka)

A famous magician who appears on TV. He is known as the “Conjurer of Annihilation.” He is looking for his long lost brother, Tsubasa.

Rui (Voiced by: KENN)

A member of the mysterious organization, Rui is a knife-wielding trickster.

Sumire (Voiced by: Natsumi Hioka)

A member of the mysterious organization, Sumire is a killer princess who wields a chainsaw.

Taiyo (Voiced by: Hidenori Takahashi)

The president of Lacuna Chemical.

Tsuki (Voiced by: Asami Imai)

A researcher at Lacuna Chemical.

Jack (Voiced by: Atsushi Imaruoka)

A member of the mysterious organization, Jack is a pyro who goes by the name “Jack the Bomber.”

Kana (Voiced by: Yurika Kubo)

A member of the mysterious organization, Kana is a genius hacker with unparalleled skill.

Yuji (Voiced by: Ryota Suzuki)

An associate of Ryoko’s.

Keigo (Voiced by: Masaki Terasoma)

A former cop who is now a detective.

Shunpei (Voiced by: Yoshitaka Yamaya)

Ryoko’s subordinate.
