Synopsis

The “Awesome Ones” - Dan Kouzo and his friends Shun Kazami, Wynton Styles, Lia Venegas and dog Lightning, make videos and upload them to ViewTube. A series of strange events leads them to discover the strange biomechanical creatures known as Bakugan. Befriending them, the guys begin to use the Bakugan for battle while defending their hometown from malicious forces who want to use the Bakugan for their own gain.

Background

A collaboration with Canadian toy firm Spin Master, Bakugan: Battle Planet is a multimedia project and toy line. The franchise relaunch was announced in October 2018 and the first season of the TV anime premiered on April 1, 2019.

Johnny's Jr. subunit HiHi Jets will sing the opening theme song “Jonetsu Jamboree” and ending theme song "Be my story.”

Characters

Dan Kuso (Voiced by: Rie Takahashi)

Dan Kouzo is the series protagonist and an extremely curious, energetic young boy. He loves the Bakugan and is willing to throw himself into whatever challenges arise with his partner Dragonoid at his side.

Dragonoid (Voiced by: Shunsuke Takeuchi)

Dragonoid is a prideful Bakugan with the majesty of a king. He is super strong and great at attack but has a passionate heart and lacks adaptability.

Wynton Styles (Voiced by: Jun Fukushima)

Wynton Styles is Dan’s childhood friend and is good at discovering great new weapons. He loves playing tricks on people.

Trox (Voiced by: Shun Horie)

Trox is an extremely clever Bakugan. He has a gentle character but is never frightened. He’s good at battle strategies.

Lia Venegas (Chinatsu Akasaki)

Lia Venegas is the camerawoman for the Awesome Ones. A cheerful girl who loves shooting video, Lia can also be reckless.

Pegatrix (Voiced by: Kaori Nazuka)

Pegatrix is a noble, princess-like Bakugan. She is extremely logical and intellectual.
Shun Kazami (Voiced by: Yumi Uchiyama)
Cool and mature, Shun Kazami displays unusual zeal for the Bakugan. He’s the son of the boss of a multinational corporation.

**Hydorous **(Voiced by: Aoi Ichikawa)

Calm and level headed, Hydorous is a battle veteran Bakugan. Good at judging the situation logically, he is often able to defeat his opponent with well-placed blows.

Lightning (Voiced by: Aki Kanada)

Lightning is a dog but also an extremely valuable member of the team! He’s a very smart dog and can even fight battles with Bakugan.

Howlkor (Voiced by: Daichi Kanbara)

Howlkor is a solitary and stoic Bakugan who doesn’t tend to say much. He is extremely ferocious and good in a battle.

Magnus (Voiced by: Shohei Kajikawa)

Shrouded in mystery, Magnus is Dan’s rival.
