Synopsis

Thirty years ago, brothers Tatsuya and Kazuya Uesugi brought the Meisei High School baseball team to the National Championships. Now it’s the turn of a new generation as step-brothers Toma and Soichiro Tachibana set their sights on Koshien.

Background

Mix is adapted from the manga by Mitsuru Adachi which is a sequel to the phenomenally popular Touch set 30 years later. The manga has been running in Monthly Shonen Sunday since May 2012 and the anime adaptation was announced in August 2018. The first season will premiere on April 6, 2019.

Characters

Toma Tachibana (Voiced by: Yuuki Kaji)

Ace pitcher Toma Tachibana is the step-brother of Soichiro with whom he happens to share the same birthday!

Haruka Oyama (Voiced by: Kana Hanazawa)

Haruna is the beautiful daughter of the Meisei High School baseball team coach, Gourou. Originally a keen gymnast, Haruka became the baseball team’s manager after sustaining an injury.

Minami Asakura (Voiced by: Noriko Hidaka)

The heroine of Touch, Minami Asakura was the girl next door to the Uesugi brothers.

Soichiro Tachibana (Voiced by: Yuma Uchida)

Soichiro Tachibana shares the same birthday as his step-brother Toma and is an ace catcher. He also has a little sister, Otomi, over whom he is very protective.

Mayumi Tachibana (Voiced by: Kikuko Inoue)

Mayumi Tachibana is the mother of Soichiro and Otomi and became Toma’s step-brother when she married his father Eisuke after her first husband, Keiichi Sawai, passed away.

Otomi Tachibana (Voiced by: Maaya Uchida)

Otomi Tachibana is the younger sister of Soichiro and step-sister of Toma. Shy and reserved, she plays the flute in the school’s brass band.

Eisuke Tachibana (Voiced by: Wataru Takagi)

Father of Toma, Eisuke Tachibana became the step-father of Soichiro and Otomi when he married the widowed Mayumi after his first wife died when Toma was only 3.
