Synopsis
“Bungo” of Bungo Stray Dogs means “literary master,” fittingly so because the characters of Bungo Stray Dogs are based on literary authors who wield superhero powers with some based on the books they wrote. These characters are the minority, caught up in being used by organizations, and face discrimination. One such organization is the Armed Detective Agency which is filled with several of them who solve mysteries and work for the mafia.
Background
Bungo Stray Dogs began in 2012 as a manga in Young Ace magazine created by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. Season 3 of the anime adaptation will be directed by Takuya Igarashi with screenwriting by Yoji Enokido, who both had the same roles in the two seasons prior as well as the movie Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple. The anime will once again be produced by Studio Bones, and GRANDRODEO as well as Luck Life are returning for the opening and ending themes, respectively.

Atsushi Nakajima (Japanese: Yuto Uemura | English: Max Mittelman)
Atsushi Nakajima has the Beast Beneath the Moonlight capability which grants him the ability to turn into a white tiger fully or partially, such as tiger arms or stripes on his face. He also has the ability to rapidly regenerate even entire limbs.

Osamu Dazai has the No Longer Human capability which grants him the ability to nullify the effects of other capabilities through contact even if restrained.
Doppo Kunikida (Japanese: Yoshimasa Hosoya | English: Patrick Seitz)
Doppo Kunikida has the Doppo Poet capability which grants him the ability to draw items and manifest them through his notebook as long as they are no bigger than his notebook such as his go-to weapon, a wire gun.
Junichiro Tanizaki (Japanese: Toshiyuki Toyonaga | English: Spike Spencer)
Junichiro Tanizaki has the Light Snow capability which grants him the ability to create a snowfall illusion within a certain range of area around him.
Ranpo Edogawa (Japanese: Hiroshi Kamiya | English: Vic Mignogna)
Ranpo Edogawa has the Super Deduction capability, or so he claims, that grants the ability to immediately have complete and accurate understanding of a crime scene and other situations, quickly finding the smallest of clues, knowing where evidence will be, and who the culprit is. So far he has not been wrong.
Kenji Miyazawa (Japanese: Hiroyuki Kagura | English: Lucien Dodge)
Kenji Miyazawa has the Undefeated by the Rain capability which grants him superhuman strength and durability such as being able to rip off steel doors and withstand strikes to the head with lead pipes with no damage.
Akiko Yosano (Japanese: Yu Shimamura | English: Erica Lindbeck)
Akiko Yosano has the Thou Shalt Not Die capability which grants her the ability to heal wounds immediately through a flurry of butterflies. She can only treat people with life-threatening wounds. She also fights well in close combat with a cleaver.
Yukichi Fukuzawa (Japanese: Rikiya Koyama | English: Jamieson Price)
Yukichi Fukuzawa has the All Men Are Equal capability which grants him the ability to tone down the strength of the capabilities of all those in the Armed Detective Agency.
Kyoka Izumi (Japanese: Sumire Morohoshi | English: Cherami Leigh)
Kyoka Izumi has the Demon Snow capability which grants her the ability to summon a sword-wielding phantom that takes orders through Kyoka’s cell phone.
Kirako Haruno (Japanese: Mina | English: Abby Trott)
Kirako Haruno is a clerk at the Armed Detective Company. She possess no capability but is a reliable, calm, and composed women.
Naomi Tanizaki (Japanese: Chiaki Omigawa | English: Erica Lindbeck)
Naomi Tanizaki is a clerk at the Armed Detective Company. She poses no capability but is a strong-willed, intelligent, and caring woman.
Katai Tayama (Japanese: Kenichi Suzumura)
Katai Tayama has the Futon capability which grants him the ability to control any electronics within sight 10x faster than normal as long as he isn’t touching them, is relaxed, and is wrapped up in his futon.
